Raw preview, Nov. 7, 2016: “The Kevin Owens Show” heads to Glasgow, Scotland
As Raw General Manager Mick Foley continues to form his teams to battle SmackDown LIVE at Survivor Series, WWE Universal Champion Kevin Owens and Chris Jericho bring their vaunted friendship to Glasgow, Scotland, where a standoff with U.S. Champion Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins surely awaits. Will these Superstars collide when Monday night’s hottest show takes place for the very first time in “Dear Green Place”?
Can Jeri-KO evade the wrath of two former Shield brothers?
Roman Reigns will likely never again trust Seth Rollins for as long as he lives, but the United States Champion nevertheless found an unlikely savior in The Shield’s destroyer last Monday night, when Rollins saved The Big Dog from a two-on-one beatdown at the hands of WWE Universal Champion Kevin Owens and Chris Jericho.
Former brothers have found common enemies in the egotistical best friends, and even though Raw General Manager Mick Foley is trying to unite Team Red against SmackDown LIVE as Survivor Series approaches, there’s unfinished business to be dealt with this Monday night in Scotland. Will Reigns and Rollins — mortal enemies since The Shield’s implosion — put their differences aside to deal out some old-school justice to The Prizefighter and the curator of “The List of Jericho”? You can probably count on … “it.”
Who will be the final member of the Raw Men’s team at Survivor Series?
By winning an intense Battle Royal this past Monday night, the hulking Braun Strowman joined WWE Universal Champion Kevin Owens, United States Champion Roman Reigns and Chris Jericho on Raw’s team in the 5-on-5 Traditional Survivor Series Men’s Elimination Match, leaving just one spot open in the squad that will go head-to-head with WWE World Champion AJ Styles, Dean Ambrose, Bray Wyatt, Randy Orton and Baron Corbin.
Will the final member of the Raw Men’s squad be revealed this Monday night in Scotland?
Which Superstars will The New Day and Charlotte Flair lead into battle?
As the Raw Men’s team awaits its final Superstar, the two other Team Red squads are less fleshed out. We only know that Raw Women’s Champion Charlotte will lead Bayley and Nia Jax against Nikki Bella, SmackDown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch, Naomi, Alexa Bliss and Carmella in the 5-on-5 Traditional Survivor Series Women’s Elimination Match. Meanwhile, The New Day’s team in Survivor Series’ 10-on-10 bout remains a complete mystery.
Who (“Who? Who?”) will round out these two teams as Raw battles SmackDown LIVE for brand supremacy at WWE’s fall classic?
Who will answer Dolph Ziggler’s Intercontinental Championship challenge?
Not only will Raw and SmackDown collide in three Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Matches on Sunday, Nov. 20 — live on the award-winning WWE Network — but the Intercontinental Championship will be contested in a cross-brand battle when Dolph Ziggler puts the prestigious prize on the line against a member of the Team Red roster.
The Raw locker room is undoubtedly buzzing as several Superstars consider this open challenge. Will this opportunity to show up The Showoff be addressed this week?
Did The Brian Kendrick light a fire inside TJ Perkins?
The Brian Kendrick is a man with a plan — it’s even in his entrance music — but that doesn’t mean the WWE Universe or his former friend, TJ Perkins, appreciate his ingenuity all that much. One night after using mind games and blatantly lying to capture the WWE Cruiserweight Championship at WWE Hell in a Cell, The Wizard of Odd got himself intentionally counted out in his rematch with TJP. Moments after the bell, The Fil-Am Flash went ballistic on Kendrick, brutalizing the deceptive champion on the entrance ramp. Although we’ve never seen this kind of aggression from Perkins before, it’s unlikely we’ve seen the last of it.
Don’t miss Raw at 8/7 C on USA Network, and be sure to tune in to Raw Pre-Show at 7:30 ET on all of WWE’s digital platforms.
