The camera fades backstage where we see Nic Stone standing in front of a ‘Monday Night Mayhem’ set sporting his ring gear including black leather shorts attire along with a black leather vest that has the letters ‘NS’ on it decked in fancy font and with a slight hint of leopard print. Stone, also wearing black sunglasses, has his arms to his side before he begins to speak.
Nic Stone: Well, well would you look at this. Tonight is the night where the tournament to crown a New Impact Wrestling Federation Champion begins and Nic Stone is nowhere near the tournament. Let’s be real here, we all know that Nic Stone is going to be in this tournament and he’s going to win it along with that IWF Championship. Last week I walked down that isle and entered the ring with a former IWF Champion, a man that never lost his championship and I out classed him. I took him to school and walked out one and zero, undefeated in my IWF career. Let me ask one question, who has made the biggest impact since this company returned? CMS? Mr. Enigma? Ryan Harrison? Dominick Aviles? No, the only man that has made an impact worth mentioning is the so called rookie, the ‘Shining Star’ Nic Stone.
Stone flashes a cocky grin before rubbing at his chin and adjusting his neck. Stone stretches his hands out to correspond with his next sentence.
Nic Stone: I broke out from the pack just as this race started and placed myself among the upper echelon of this company. I’ve heard all the opinions in the book about last week’s main event. I’ve heard fluke, I’ve heard luck, I’ve heard that it was Freeman’s fault for not preparing properly, well none of that is my problem. I walked in with one purpose and I fulfilled the promise I made to myself, I made Adam Freeman look like a fool and you can damn sure count on me carrying this victory with me all the way to the top. My plans in this company are simple and divided into a few select choices. First I make the impact of a lifetime, I make people remember my name. Check, then I win the IWF Championship no matter who or what I have to go through to do it. I think it’s only fair that I check that one off right now. After I win the IWF Championship I plan on having a legendary reign, the type of reign people talk about from years to come. And no matter what you people might think I will not be a cowardly champion, I will take all challengers and dispose of them one by one. After I enjoy my lengthy reign I figure just for fun I can take that brittle, joke of a competitor, Adam Freeman out for real. I figure that once and for all I can end his career, something many have tried but couldn’t seem to get the job done. What better thing to add to my resume that to be the one who ends Adam Freeman’s career.
Stone rubs his hands together as if he were a hitman or a club bouncer. Stone pulls from both sides of his leather vest and flashes that arrogant smile once again.
Nic Stone: I’ve seen the graphics for the IWF Championship Tournament and if you pause the shot where the championship belt is shown, zoom in real close, you will be able to see the name ‘Nic Stone’ already engraved as the champion. This tournament is a no contest, the IWF is looking for their new poster boy, here I am. I’ve already beaten the old hot shot and now it’s time for a real man to step up in the role of IWF’s best. The Primer Prodigy, the Elite Talent, the most illustrious superstar to ever step foot in an IWF ring will walk out as IWF Champion when all the dust has settled. I am the light where there is darkness, I am the true Shining Star in the IWF sky, I am Nic Stone your future Impact Wrestling Federation Champion and you will remember my name.
Stone pulls his sunglasses off before his speaks his last line and when he does, Stone delivers it with a heavy passion and hearty belief in what he just said.
Kerry Lane: There was a lot of arrogance and ignorance coming from Nic Stone. Sure he’s got a victory over former IWF Adam Freeman but has he really accomplished that much in the IWF that he needs to be making these claims about himself.
Josh Hart: Oh shut up, Kerry and learn to love and get used to Nic Stone being around for a long time. This kid has got it all, he’s got the cockiness but he’s also got the intelligence and skill to back it up. I for one would be proud to have Nic Stone as our IWF Champion and the way he’s going I don’t see how it can’t happen.
Kerry Lane: I figured you would jump on his bandwagon, let’s see what you have to say when he loses a match.
Josh Hart: You don’t get it, Kerry, Nic Stone just wants to be remembered and if he keeps up with what he has done already in this company, he’ll have no problem being remembered.
