Were you ever watching an event and something happened that left your jaw on the floor?

For me it was Survivor Series '98. I was a huge Rock mark at the time. I didn't think he had a chance to win the tourney because they needed to put the belt on a heel to feud with Austin. As he kept winning, I kept getting more excited, but I thought he'd get screwed in the end. During the match with Mankind he puts on the Sharpshooter and the bell rings! I couldn't believe they had the balls to do that again, especially as part of the work.

I was left speechless for a bit, letting sink in what happened. Then I realized this mean more heel Rocky, so it made it that much better!

As a kid, it was probably the beer bath SCSA dished out, I know it's cliché but as a kid I marked so damn hard for that.

True, I thought that since Barrett came out first he was just going to start a feud with Cena but when the others appeared... shit just got serious. It was pretty good indeed.

Going to age myself a bit with this one: Shawn Michaels superkicking Marty Janetty through the barbershop window! I hated HBK from that moment on! That would be my number 2.

That as well. I was pretty happy that Cena lost the match and when Punk was going to cut the promo I thought "oh nice, a promo by Punk". Didn't see that promo coming. :dawg:

Yeah it's Punk's initial Pipe-bomb promo by far for me. Mostly because it was complete happenstance that I even witnessed it. At that point, aside from the occasional Bryan match or Punk segment, I completely avoided WWE due to them killing my interest with their complete and utter Nexus burial the night post-SummerSlam. The only thing I saw months prior to that night were some clips of R-Truth's heel turn because it was praised (I thought it sucked myself but whatever). And I continued doing what I'm doing now and just reads results and stuff without actually watching it.

So, the Monday of I went to bed early, planning to sleep most of the day away. I woke up at about 8:40-ish and since I knew Punk was in the title picture, I decided, "What the hell I'll watch." It was a pretty good night overall but once he dropped that promo, and all during that promo, my love for wrestling I once lost was back and probably stronger than ever. The ripple effect one segment can have is truly incredible. Unfortunately ripples soon fade away and the impressions it made in the water are no longer present; thus why I'm back to mostly just reading results. But it was fun while it lasted.

That shocked me too. But my most shocking moment was Hulk Hogan turning heel and joining the N.W.O and Kane's début because Kane seemed so strong I hated him for attacking Taker for ages.
