A Dublin mother has been accused of raping her 10-month-old son, videotaping the assault and sending the video to her boyfriend in Michigan. The Franklin County grand jury indicted Ashley Jessup, 24, on four felony counts: two counts of rape, one count of endangering children and one count of pandering sexually oriented matter involving a minor, NBC station WCMH reported.
The indictment accused Jessup of performing sexual acts on the child on Aug. 30. Columbus police arrested her Aug. 31. It was not clear what led to her arrest.
Jessup was ordered held in lieu of $1 million bail, CBS station WPBC reported.
WPBC said that the child's father traveled from Michigan to attempt to gain custody of the child. The station said the child was staying with a maternal grandmother while authorities sorted out the custody issue.
Jessup is to be arraigned at 1:30 p.m. Monday in Franklin County common pleas court.
