It is hard for me to view this site on my phone as there is a chat window open that won't go away.

It should disappear if you click somewhere on the screen, it does for me.
Which browser are you using?

I have tried clicking all over but can't close it. Windows phone.

There's a small, feint arrow at the top right of the chat box next to the users icon, click that and check "Disable".
