MNM#7 - Main Event - Maggot vs. Adam Freeman

Roleplay here for the Main Event Match featuring Maggot vs. Adam Freeman.

The Scene Opens up somewhere in the hills of Winnipeg, Canada. The sun has set leaving much of the landscape darkened with no lights. There is a chill in the air due to the brisk wind creating below freezing temperatures and snow to keep falling as it covers on the grass and various paths. Amongst the darkness a light flickers on in the distance. The light is from an old holiday cottage; the cottage is build of old stone and must have stood for at least 50 years. The inside of the cottage continues with the older feel and look, with original beams across the ceiling, a stone wall and the original fire place which Adam Freeman is knelt in front of with a pile of rocks next to him. Freeman is well wrapped up with a thick coat and jumper on; he also is wearing a skate hat keeping his head warm. Freeman places some of the smaller logs into the fire place before lighting a fire with a lighter, he places the lighter close to the logs until the log set alight, when the fire gets going he places the remaining logs on the fire as the fire begins to burn strongly. At this moment the door swings open almost putting the fire out and Freeman’s girlfriend Amy walks through the door. Amy is a very pretty girl who at this moment has dark hair, she is noticeably smaller than Freeman and is slim.

Amy: Finally got the fire going then huh?

Freeman stands up and turns around to Amy. He does not look himself at the moment but lets out a little smile in which Amy replies.

Amy: Come on now Adam, you’ve had some time to reflect on the PPV weekend, you’ve been sat feeling sorry for yourself all week, you promised me cosy weekend up here in Winnipeg and please can you just forget about wrestling just for one night?

Freeman: Look, I know you get annoyed sometimes when my mind is adrift, but you have to understand Amy that the IWF Championship means a lot to me and my match with Nic Stone at Inception may have been my only chance to get it back. Right now I am at the bottle of the pile, new challengers will fight for the title until I earn my way back up the pecking order again. If I had suffered a fair loss, then I would have taken it on the chin, I would have walked from the ring knowing Stone was the better man and I would have to go away and improve, but that’s not the case Amy. Nic Stone took me all the way, kicking out of numerous finishing attempts and I was the same, I knew I would have to deliver a big move and my variation of the walls did the job I intended it to do, no one would have escaped that submission because there neck and back would have broken if they tried to move, I had Stone beaten in the middle of the ring, he was tapping out and the ref was starting to revive. Then out of nowhere Biggs enters hitting me with a finisher and Stone takes advantage. I’m not feeling sorry for myself I’m very pissed off Amy.

Amy: Well get it out of your system and lets enjoy our time to ourselves, with you on the road all the time we don’t get much time to spend with each other.

Freeman: I know I’m sorry Amy, did we receive anything from the IWF this week though, haven’t got my letter with the card on it this week?

Amy: I hid it away that’s why, with you in the mood you were in. You are scheduled in a match though, with Maggot I think they call him.

Freeman: What the…Maggot, the returning Maggot. Being honest I was hoping to get my hands on Biggs this week, I mean who the hell does Biggs think he is, do you know who he reminds me off, Ryan Harrison, always using my name to elevate themselves. Biggs was jealous that I was in the spotlight, I always have been whether we have been in the same company or not. And he will pay for his actions at some point, I guarantee it.

Amy: Forget about Biggs, forget about Nic Stone, this obsession with the championship will be you’re down fall you know. Focus on your next opponent, not the ones you are not fighting. Maybe then you will get back on track.

Freeman: Since when have you been the wrestling expert, I can beat Maggot. Being the last entrant in a 10-man elimination match and winning means nothing. Someone out of the crowd could have won a match against already tired opponents. We’ll see if his return was the right thing to do when he step in the ring with me. I’ll be more fuelled up than ever Amy, I will turn up with the right frame of mind and the be focused on winning that match. I need to win that match not just to get myself back on the map, but because I can win that match and be the better man. In my matches up to Inception there was some controversy in a number of matched but there won’t be any next week, I will not only beat Maggot, I will dominate him and use him to send a message to every IWF superstar and the entire management team.

Freeman grins as though he has already achieved what he sets out to do.

Amy: Are you done now, lets relax and enjoy our time here.

Freeman: Maybe clearing my mind is for the best. Lets go for a walk or something.

Amy: Sounds perfect.

Freeman grabs Amy by the hand as they leave the cottage, the scene fades.
