Quick flashes of the IWF’s New Year’s Bash Edition of Monday Night Mayhem are shown and display lightening fast shots of Nic Stone throwing Sunni Rayne into the ring barrier as James Kash was seemingly backing off as well as Stone picking up the victory on Bobby King. The camera then cuts to a shot of Stone standing with his hand raised before a bright white light takes over the screen and we then go to a shot of Stone sitting in what looks to be a home where he is wearing his normal everyday clothes of a black T-shirt and jeans. We then see IWF correspondent Carl Long sitting across from Stone.
Carl Long: Carl Long here with an exclusive Impact Wrestling Federation Interview. I am sitting in the home of the hottest star in the IWF, Nic Stone.
Nic Stone: Shining Star.
Carl Long: Pardon me, Shining Star. Now Nic this past week at the IWF’s New Year’s Bash you defeated Bobby King and James Kash in a Triple Threat Match to solidify your spot in the Finals of the IWF Championship Tournament and a rematch with Adam Freeman whom you beat on your first night here in the IWF. If you will please tell me your thoughts on the Triple Threat Match and your upcoming title match with Adam Freeman.
Stone strokes his chin and cracks a smile. He shakes his head a bit before answering Long’s question.
Nic Stone: Oh Carl, did you write that question yourself? I mean honestly why are you even here? I am perfectly capable of doing this interview on my own. But since you insist on being here and ’asking the tough questions’ I’ll humor you. They were not lying when they said it was a new year, it’s a new day in the IWF, the day of Nic Stone. Thus far in my IWF career I have yet to be proven wrong. I said Bobby King was full of potential and he showed it numerous times during our match it’s too bad for him that I am and always will be that much better than him. I also said that James Kash was nothing more than a stepping stone for me and this week along with next week will prove just that. I am on my way to superstardom and I have nobody but myself to thank for that. I made the promises and I delivered on every single one of them. No matter if it was Adam Freeman in my debut or James Kash this upcoming week, nothing is going to stop me and do you know why, Carl?
Carl Long: I can honestly say I have no idea what goes on in that head of yours.
Nic Stone: It’s because I pride myself on being the most prepared and focused wrestler in the industry where as frauds like Freeman and Kash are distracted by any shiny object that crosses their eye line. These slobs you call the IWF Universe tell Adam Freeman to jump and he asks how high. James Kash is more worried about his girl than his competition, something I never thought I would see from James Kash. You were supposed to be ‘The Future’ James and now you’re nothing but a footnote in the career of Nic Stone.
Carl Long: That actually leads me to my next question. You blatantly used James Kash’s manager, Sunni Rayne to help you win the Triple Threat Match this past week. Some say you took the easy way out and others say what you did was despicable, how do you feel about your actions towards Sunni Rayne?
Nic Stone: I’m sorry that James Kash has lost his focus on the ultimate goal in everybody’s careers, to win the World Championship. Who honestly thought Kash would rather help Sunni than win a match? I personally didn’t think it would matter. Like I’ve said I study my opponents and know every trick in the book and I will give you one, Kash, you were unpredictable in that split second even if it was quite possibly the worst mistake in your career. You know something Carl, I think it’s James Kash you need to be asking these Blue questions to. Maybe he should offer up an explanation as to why he threw away his chance at the title from some broad.
Carl Long: It’s clear you show no remorse for your actions…
Nic Stone: You’re damn right it’s clear! I have no remorse or regret for anything I do out there. I am working toward one goal and that is becoming the IWF Champion. I don’t need any distractions in my way and if I can make somebody throw away their opportunity at a World Title then you’re damn right I’m going to do it. My gameplan is flawless, I show no remorse because there is nothing for me to regret. You won’t see Nic Stone attending to fallen friend or a grazed girl because I have no acquaintances, I have no friends, and my love life isn’t involved with my job. I set a goal for myself to become the very best ever and I will be damned if my conscious or feelings get involved in my ambitions.
Stone runs his hands through his hair as the red glow in his cheeks begins to fade out. Stone’s impassioned speech has left Long speechless most likely due to the fact he has nothing to follow up on. After a moment or two of stumbling on his words, Long spits out another question.
Carl Long: The stage is set, Nic, within the next few weeks you have two of the most important matches of your life. First you will pay for your actions against Sunni Rayne and James Kash when you face Kash one on one in a No Disqualification Match this Monday. And if you survive that you get your opportunity at the IWF Championship and Adam Freeman gets another crack at you. If I may I would like to add that I hope those two IWF veterans teach you a lesson.
Nic Stone: Thanks Carl, but it doesn’t matter what you add or want to say to me because from what I’ve heard of your opinions, they aren’t going to happen. The IWF has been stacking the deck against me for the entire time I have been here and I am stilling standing tall, undefeated and on the road to the most important stretch of matches in my life. James Kash will not stop me and Adam Freeman WILL NOT stand in my way of the IWF Championship. Sure Kash is going to be coming out guns blazing this Monday but the only reason for that is he has no title match, hell he has no match for Inception period. This is your Super Bowl, Kash, well you better make it a good one. Bring all you’ve got because I will be waiting. Not waiting in anticipation for this ‘dream match’, not waiting in fear of a silver spoon has been, but I’ll be waiting in the realization that I will once and for all end your career. I wasn’t lying when I said you’re a stepping stone and with this match you’ve requested you just sealed your fate as the final victory for Nic Stone before he becomes IWF Champion and for you to fade into mediocrity. I hope Montana saved a desk job for you because when I’m through there is not going to be an opportunity for a triumphant comeback. ‘The Future’ is now, ‘The Future’ is Nic Stone.
Carl Long: Thank you Nic, it was a….
Nic Stone: No, I refuse to let you have the last word in this interview. Get out of my house now before I kick you out, Carl.
Carl is about to speak again but waves for the camera to follow him as he makes a beeline for the exit leaving Stone to sit alone in his house seemingly thinking about his upcoming stretch of matches in the next few weeks. The camera fades with Stone staring off into the distance.
