(The scene opens up in Tony Valentinos theater room. The lights are dimly lit, and there is a bright glow coming from the large screen that is directly in front of the camera view, with several leather recliner chairs scattered throughout the room. There are movie posters covering both sides of the walls, all of which feature Tony Valentino. Ranging from 2004's sci-fi thriller "Into The Abyss" to the soon to be released and highly anticipated "To Serve & Protect". As the camera scans around the room, it passes a section which showcases various awards Valentino has won. There are multiple MTV awards, a Sundance Film Festival Award, and even an Actors Guild Award. Although none are wrestling related, there is an empty spot on the wall which is reserved for Valentino's first wrestling championship.
As the camera moves on, we see the talented Mr.Gold up ahead. He seems to be on an important call as he looks up at the camera and exits through a side door. A few feet away is "The Natural" sitting comfortably back on one of the leather recliners. He is dressed in his work out attire, tanktop, jogging pants, and a headband. Right away there seems to be a noticeable change about Valentino, as he is not his usual laid back and easy going self. He seems incredibly focused, another first for Tony. His eyes are staring intensely at the giant blank screen ahead of him. A light five o'clock shadow paints his what is usually clean cut face as he cracks his knuckles )
Valentino: You know...
(Valentino suddenly stops his statement. He licks his lips and looks away from the screen. He places his right hand on his forehead in frustration and shakes his head. He laughs quietly under his breath before looking towards the camera to speak again)
Valentino: You know, someone who questions my wrestling ability, thats just something I don't particularly care for. Now for someone who recently was eliminated and defeated by me, to question my wrestling ability, well..I just cant comprehend it. I've been sitting here in my cozy screening room, and I've been watching last weeks match. I've been watching it over and over, studying Bobby Kings skills and tendencies in an attempt to gain as much knowledge as I possibly can. I've also been going over the comments Bobby has said about me.
Yes, you can question my experience in the ring. I may not be the most experienced, and I'll even go as far as saying I may not be the most well rounded wrestler in the IWF. I can admit it. Heck, how many wrestlers here can say they had lunch with Bruce Willis and dinner with Jessica Alba last night? How many guys here were on set of a major motion picture? I can quit wrestling right now, and my job would still bring me more popularity, money, and women then most of these guys here. Thats something you can question. And you know what? After awhile that all changes. After awhile I will no longer be the rookie. I wont be on the bottom of the totem pole. Its all just a matter of time. You give me "credit"? Credit for what? Because you don't consider me as a real threat. When you look at me all you see is a much better looking, more athletic, more intelligent, sharper dressing, more popular, more successful, and muuuuuch more entertaining version of yourself. Theres no need to give me credit Bobby. All i ask is for respect. You have yet to shown that thus far, which leads me to believe that I'll have to beat it out of you. Now as far as my heart, thats something you can't question. Talk about my Hollywood background as much as you want, but the one thing that differs between me and Bobby King is the fact that I don't stop until I reach my desire.
King, you know nothing of me. Sure, you've seen me on the big screen. Yes, you've seen me on the billboards.
All you know is Tony the actor. Or Tony the endorser. Or Tony the guy who just stole your girlfriend. But what you, as well as everyone else in the Impact Wrestling Federation, have yet to fully see Tony Valentino the wrestler. Last Monday on Mayhem, you got a preview of what I can do. Infact you had the best view in the entire arena. Who would have imagined? A kick so powerful it can knock a grown man out of the ring entirely! That was just my IWF debut. Now imagine once I really get the hang of this wrestling thing.
(The large screen behind Valentino shows the battle royal from Monday Night Mayhem. Bobby King is seen being whipped into the ropes by Dominick Aviles. As he bounces back he is met with a thunderous superkick, which Valentino calls the "Sunset Kick". King is sent over the top ropes and onto the floor from the amazing impact of the kick. The screen pauses on King, who has yet to regain his composure. Valentino turns his attention away from last weeks match and back towards the camera)
Valentino: I can watch that again and again. How about you Bobby? I hope I didn't ruin your Thanksgiving by knocking some teeth lose. Then again, your probably sitting at home with your brothers, stuffing your face and passing out. Now I can't enjoy my debut match as much as I would like to. Afterall there was only one winner, and it wasn't me. But I did come closer to winning than you did Bobby. Monday you wont have 9 other guys to hide behind. Its just going to be you and me. So if you think I'm going to be like one of the 'pathetic' wrestlers you eliminated, you are sadly mistaken.
The one thing we may have in common is our goal. We both are trying to achieve IWF gold. If you win, you move a step closer. If I win I move a step closer. There can only be one winner. For every long road to success, there is always a roadblock keeping you from getting there. Well Bobby I am your roadblock. I hope to be crushing your dreams, your hopes, and hopefully the front side of your face come Monday night. You say you don't want to talk about the past. Ok, I can see why. Who likes talking about getting kicked in the face? But don't get carried away Bob. You really shouldn't get to ahead of yourself. You should be thinking less of your future and more of the present. Infact, don't think about your future at all. Because once I get through with you, the future you'll have is something you definitely don't want to look forward to. You should be thinking of a good dentist to go to, because another Sunset Kick to the grill and you'll be spending the rest of the night spitting out teeth.
(Valentino laughs at the thought of a toothless Bobby King. His face is less tense and he seems to have eased up much more since we first saw him earlier. Mr Gold re-enters from the same door he left from before, this time with no cell phone in hand. He gains Valentinos attention and motions to his watch. The lights in the room turn on and the large theater screen fades out. Valentino gets up and exits with Mr Gold as the camera fades to black)
