More than ten years after the passing of Fred Rogers – one of television’s greatest icons – his life story is being adapted into the feature film A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood. Taken from the lyrics of his introductory song to each episode of Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood, the picture was written on spec by Alexis Jolly, a writer for The Ellen DeGeneres Show. The spec was recently picked up by Justin Nappi and Kevin Turen’s Treehouse Pictures but no story details are available.
