Winner of five in a row, bantamweight prospect Mike "The Hulk" Easton will return to competition for the first time since 2009 and he will do it in the UFC Octagon as he makes his debut in the organization against Jeff Hougland on October 1st's UFC Live on Versus card in Washington D.C. Easton, a stablemate of 135-pound champ Dominick Cruz, will be in tough against Hougland, who was successful in his UFC debut in July, defeating Donny Walker.
Easton, Bloody Elbow's # 9 ranked prospect at bantamweight, hasn't fought since October 2009 when he defeated Chase Beebe by highly controversial split decision. This fight was well documented by MMA Nation's Luke Thomas on this site back when it all went down. He has been out of action since then due to injuries. Hougland won his UFC debut with the aforementioned decision win over Donny Walker at UFC 132 earlier this month, and is currently on a nine-fight winning steak.
