Microsoft Acquires Gears of War from Epic Games

Hey everyone, not sure all who plays this franchise but as of today Microsoft has fully acquired the rights to Gears of War from Epic Games.
They have placed Black Tusk Studios in charge of the next game. Microsoft has also hired Rod Ferguson to oversee production on the Black Tusk Studios new Gears of War game.

Thoughts?

Yeah but Epic Games isn't developing it anymore, it's some Microsoft bitch company developing it, all Microsoft done prior was produce, this is a more hands on job.

Know anything about that company? I haven't bought a Gears of War since GOW 3.

Well they were supposed to design a rival game to Halo but nothing came of that, this is their first project under the name "Black Tusk Studios" but I imagine it's filled with people who have left Epic games in the past as well as other prominent Microsoft companies.
Gears of War: Judgement's campaign was dreadful so if they can manage to surpass that quality then they have restored a little faith in the series.. but we shall see.

Early word is that it's a prequel game though, dealing way before E-Day during the Pendulum wars (discussed in the graphic novels).. Which if that's true I imagine that will stretch atleast 2-3 games.
Luckily I am friends with a HUGE Gears of War nut so I won't have to buy it when it finally comes out to try it. If it's good I'll prolly shell ou t the cash for it.
