The Sun UK reports that Mick Foley will be going to TNA once his current WWE deal expires on 9/1, based on what a “close friendâ€￾ of Foley told them. According to the report, Foley would have a deal similar to the one Sting has and would only work select dates. TNA’s official comment is that they haven’t even spoken to Foley about coming in, but they may be saying that as a way to keep Foley’s jump to TNA a surprise.

Foley had actually reached a verbal deal with TNA awhile back before he signed his current WWE deal. Foley has even written about how his relationship with Vince McMahon was never the same after he came so close to going to TNA, even though he ultimately didn’t go and ended up coming back to WWE.

Foley may also pop up for a few ROH shows once his WWE deal ends as he is a big fan of the promotion.

Does anybody actually care about this? I mean just from reading Hardcore Diaries, and hearing Foley himself talk about how hard he sucks now, I don't think its worth it. TNA will do better without him.

Not that he's great in the ring anymore but Mick Foley is my favourite wrestler of all time and just having him around TNA whether wrestling or not, would make me a very happy fan.

I love Foley, but he should just hang them up. I don't want to see him in TNA taking time away from the younger guys... That's what they have Kevin Nash for.

I don't think he should wrestle either but I think he could play a great on screen role. I'm not sure doing what but perhaps they could have him backing an up and coming HARDCORE star? TNA doesn't really have of those apart from ODB? They should definately work on developing one, Foley would be great support.

^^Lol, so true about the Nash statement.

If Foley was to go to TNA I can't see much for him to do because I can't see him doing much in ring work but there isn't really anything else for him in TNA either. The only thing I can actually see Foley doing is having a gimmick match filled feud with Abyss.

EDIT: ^^ meant for SP

Mick and ODB teaming up would be too awesome for words.

Anyway, I hope this happens, just to show Vince that he has competition now so he can't treat his talent like crap. They can just go to the other guys.

Highly doubtfull but i'd like to see Foley take over Cornette's postition or as bad as vince thinks he is, all most anyone is better than Don West . But knowing TNA they won't use him correctly.

Hmm interesting because i thought you were all for old timers hanging up there boots instead of hanging on to in ring action when they should no better and should quit instead of carrying on. You know like Flair did in your opinion of course. bit pot calling the kettle me thinks.

And before you go there and try and say Foley has still got it in the ring he hasn't. Plus no disrespect to Mick because i think he is and was awesome but he hasn't got no were near the ability or respect Flair has and never will have because Flair is in a different league than Foley in fact Flair is in a league of his own that only a very few will ever come close to joining him.

Mick is nowhere near where he used to be, mostly due to his years of not training in any way (And even so he's still better in the ring right now than Flair is). But at 43 he's still got the stamina to put on a lengthy match once in a while, and he'd be a great manager to some up and coming hardcore superstars. And besides, when you're Mick Foley and you base your career on getting your ass kicked, you don't need as much actual in ring ability. Obviously he's not willing to get thrown off cells anymore, but i'm sure he can still be talked into doing quite a bit of fun stuff.

And besides, just TRY to tell me that Mick Foley and ODB against Kurt Angle and Moose in an intergender weapons tag wouldn't kick ass.

I'm totally loving the idea of Mick Foley and ODB. So wrong, yet so right.

Though I do think having him in some kind of Jim Cornette role would be smartest, the guy can talk, and he's entertaining.

Even though its an angle that was done in ROH (Even if it was Foley vs Steamboat), TNA could run an angle where Cornette teams up with the "pure wrestlers" while Mick Foley teams up with the more "Hardcore Wrestlers".

Cornette has never been much of an advocate for Hardcore Wrestling, so the promos would just be Jim talking about how he feels.

that sounds great, but it sounds too simple for TNA's current storyline direction.

I really don't think Foley would help TNA at all popularity wise. He's way past being a wrestler, and he could get lost in the TNA Shuffle.

Isn't HFH doing it in Pride :roflmao:

If Foley were to go to TNA. I'd like them t have Cornette, attacked, or something after BFG. iMPACT becomes chaotic. Foley comes in, and becomes the commish for TNA. I see a few good matches.

Like, a hardcore match "Mick Foley vs. Abyss". That's a great match really. It won't be anything big, but it can only be good for TNA.

Just what TNA needs, another manager.

Personally, I think this is bull. I mean, what happened to the close source almost confirming(with Kurt Angle also doing it), that Brock Lesnar already signed. Or I don't know, maybe I missed when Lashley went to TNA.

Or how about when Chris Jericho debuted on the Live Impact after months of already confirming he would, or Ric Flair as the big surprise for the first 2 hour show.

And sorry but, you want Mick Foley, one of the biggest names in the history of pro wrestling to....team up with ODB and fight in intergender matches? Seriously, that's good if you bring any other person, but having Foley team up with her is like bringing Triple H to TNA and join the stable of Young and Curryman.
