Damn, Omar was my favorite character in The Wire. Saw he had a cameo on an episode of The Sopranos too on my current rewatch. RIP

RIP. A terrible loss. Not only iconic as Omar, but also great in a smaller role in Lovecraft Country last year. A really diverse character actor. Gone way too soon. Really feel for his friends and family.

I've never seen the Wire and only seen some Scenes from Boardwalk Empire but I can for sure say he was freaking great in Lovecraft Country. He left an impression on me for sure and it seems he's been that way since the beginning. RIP.
Shocking to hear. Extremely talented actor, if anybody hasn't seen The Wire yet I strongly recommend it. His character was great and performed super well. It's probably the best piece of television you'll ever watch. Gritty and the dialogue is super immersive.

Wow now hearing what he died from it hits home more than ever. My Brother was a similar situation he was given Heroin laced with Fentanyl that we saw on the Autopsy Report the only reason the people who gave it to my Bro were never caught because of the way they were parked they couldn't get a shot of the License Plates because it was hand to hand on the outside. I'm happy to see those individuals got arrested now lock them up and never allow them to come back out of Prison.
