Earlier today on his Twitter page, Michael Cole used a gay slur when addressing Josh Mathews. Perhaps he missed that WWE and GLAAD are now working together.

After realizing that wasn't a bright move, he then wrote the following on his Twitter page, @MichaelCole:

"I apologize to any and all who were offended by my tweet toward young Josh Mathews. It was obviously not meant the way it was taken." Then he added, "I was not ordered to apologize I said I am sorry because I am. Now can I get back to being a character again please?"

Bad news for Michael Cole: TMZ has picked up on him throwing a gay slur on Josh Mathews. It never ceases to amaze me that people don't realize that the internet actually reaches beyond whatever device they are using to access it. Anyway, this will not make WWE management happy.

First of all it was stupid by Cole to not realise that everyone would jump on everything that he says. He has to be more careful that most because he is a known figure. Second it is a bit ridiculous how PC everything has to be these days.

I hate people who get butthurt over simple words, it's Twitter ffs not like he's saying it on national TV. It's no different than anyone else who uses it(Twitter) and shouldn't be subjugated to a higher stardard because they are on TV. That's cop-out bullshit, because people with agendas have to find something wrong with everything.

I can't stand it when people have to walk on eggshells because other people offend easy. Grow up, remember the old mantra of "Sticks and stones..." and try and act like a goddamn adult. Grown folk use colourful language, people of different ethnicities and sexual orientation should just role with it.

You know the term "Motherfucker" was a racial slur against white people. Freed slaves coined the phrase to imply that white people were inbreds who would have relations with their own mother. Which was probably the best white slur ever, but the white people of the time were smarter than any of us, since they just took the word and used it for something else.....An Insult.

I use the word "smurf" "fgt" "fagg0r" ect... to describe annoying people, or men who are acting in a way I believe to be feminine. Not a slur against dudes who like other dudes, since I don't care about it, I'm just a forward thinker like that.

It is terrible how everything they do these days is watched over with a microscope and whenever they step slightly out of line someone is there to get a screenshot or take a photo and send it on to a celebrity gossip website. I am not a fan of how PC everything has become these days either but Cole should have known better to even have written that especially a couple of weeks after WWE started a partnership with GLAAD. It is wrong that this has caused an issue but Cole could have avoided this whole situation.

Meh it is what it is. Are people going to start getting at all black rappers who use the word Nope in their song, seeing it as racist? No of course they're not. A twelve year old coulda seen that Cole was joking, it's not like it was something like, 'You're a smurf who takes it from behind', it was ONE word.

Black rappers using the word Nope is different since they are black and are taking the word bakc, like white people did for Motherfucker, like I explained earlier.

There is no difference, but these damn homos need to seriously get off their high-horse and realize when people use smurf, it doens't mean they are talking about dudes who like cock.
