Michael Bisping tells ChicagosMMA.com he's tired of hearing excuses for his opponents every time he gets a win inside the Octagon
"It seems like every time I beat an opponent, they have some excuse. Now they are saying, 'Oh Miller gassed and if he had a rematch and if he didn't gas maybe he'd beat me.' Which is absolutely nonsense, you know, the guy had the living hell beat out of him and that's why he was laid in a pool of blood at the end of the fight. You know Demian Maia, he fought for the title recently, he has been the number one contender, so this is, you know, a credible match-up. I'll beat him and then people will say, 'Oh, but Demian Maia he lost, he's whatever, he's just a jiu-jitsu guy.' That's what they will say, but you know, I have learned to have thick skin in this business. I have enough criticism thrown my way, so I don't really take any notice of it, as long as I keep winning fights that's all that's important, but Maia is going to be a better opponent and a tougher opponent. One of the main things is that he's a southpaw, so it's going to be tricky on the feet. Southpaws I find very annoying to prepare for. Obviously he is one of the best on the ground, he's very dangerous there. He comes from a strong Judo background, he tossed Chael Sonnen on his head and then tapped him out pretty easily, let's be honest."
