The Hobbit and Bond studio joins forces for new game to film.

MGM, one of the studios behind the Hobbit and James Bond series, has joined forces with production company GK Films to develop the big screen Tomb Raider reboot, the companies jointly announced Wednesday.

Development on the movie is expected to commence promptly. No casting has been announced yet.

GK Films' Graham King will produce Tomb Raider, which is expected to take a page from the new video game and will reportedly be developed with input from Crystal Dynamics.
