I know the comparisons between Abyss and Kane must have been done to death, but now it seems that they have decided to model Judas Messias exactly like the Deadman. This became quite evident to me during Final Resolution. His whole "undead demon" character, the rolled-back eyes, the dark church choir theme song, the purple aura, his entrance attire - everything is just a piece by piece imitation. The story between Messias/Abyss/Father Mitchell is practically the same as Undertaker/Kane/Paul Bearer. It really is incredible how they have tried to copy everything.

So are they trying to just copy what WWE got in the past? That just shows how much TNA is un-creative in developing new gimmicks and storylines. :disgust1:

Didn't Russo come up with the whole Kane/Taker/Bearer storyline? And isn't Russo working for TNA?

Let's just say this... The title of the topic says it all. Though I'll admit it. At first it looked like Abyss was more of a Mankind rip-off, but as his character has progressed, he's turned into more of a Kane rip-off.

LOL, I actually agree with you on all of this. Nothing really else to put. It is pretty good to see it again though. I'm sure they wont do everyhting they did in the WWE. I bet their will be some sort of swerve in there, but it still is pretty dumb.

Also the fact that didn't Kane start as a non talkin' character...and then slowly begin to speak more and more...Yea this whole Mitchell, Messiah, Abyss storyline makes me sick...It so lame how there doing this...Even though i am a big TNA fan this makes me understand why there are so many haters...

Ive always thought the Mask gimmick was a copy of Kane! And I still do to this day, this storyline is starting to get strange! I could see within the next few months Judas being revealed as Abyss's brother! And have the whole Taker, Kane storyline all over again. (Where Taker didnt want to fight Kane because of his brother).

You guys do know there are ways to glorify WWE other than putting TNA down right?

and while we're at it, the whole freak out as the bell rings thing Festus does looks awfully familiar...

Rell... You've been here long enough to understand that a lot of the users here are either WWE fanboys, or are bordering on being WWE fanboys. They'll always put down TNA, no matter what they do.

Yet another person labling this as a rip off. Tbh, I think its a great fued and the only reason people may think that its played out is because Mesias got injured half way through the damn thing. I guess you can call it a rip off if you want, but that isn't going to stop me from ordering Against All Odds to see the fued (probably) come to an end

No, the fact of Messias getting injured doesn't matter. And the fued is good, make no mistake, but it is a ripoff. If you can't see the similarities between Kane and Abyss, Messias and Taker, and Mitchell with Heyman, not counting the storylines mixing with the three then you are blind?

Lol, how long before Abyss loses his mask in a Title vs Mask match against Kurt Angle, then Angle accuses him of raping a dead chick?
