XX: "HOUSE ALWAYS WINS".

Live from Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Thursday September 29th, 2022

FIRST MATCH
(1/20)
Uncle J.J. JAY! and Cornelius Aurelius Caesar vs. The Buddy System [Jeremy Best and Bryan Baxter].
Tag Team Match.
(Match writer: Jon)
On Fallout 019 in San Diego, California, a hyped up Uncle padded out Caesar's unused interview time by announcing that Caesar had all but put pen to paper as the latest addition to the Nephews. He also said that he himself would team up with the Roman and former FWA World Tag Team Champion, with the pair bonding over their mutual grief: Cornelius for his tag team partner Stu Grimes, and Uncle for several Nephews that have recently met their demise on FWA programming. What's more, Uncle threw out the new tandem's first challenge, with Jon Russnow making this tag team match between JAY! and Caesar and The Buddy System official for XX. Jeremy Best will be deep into his preparations for Lights Out's Golden Opportunity match, and will rely on his partner Bryan Baxter to help him secure momentum ahead of that huge elimination chamber six-way in New Orleans.
SECOND MATCH
(1/20)
Nate Savage (w/ Jackson Fenix) vs. Sawyer Xavier.
Singles Match.
(Match writer: Jimmy)
Sawyer Xavier may have come up just short in his pursuit of the FWA Television Championship, when he was pinned by Shawn Summers on Fallout 019 after tasting Midsommar, but he will no doubt still be riding high after his highlight reel performance in the Jailhouse Blues match. He will look to reset himself to the tracks in Las Vegas against Nate Savage, a man who is in a similar position after being defeated by the returning Tommy Bedlam earlier in that same 019 show. Savage wasn't willing to take that defeat on the chin, with him and Undisputed Alliance partner Jackson Fenix jumping Bedlam post-match, forcing Jason Randall out to make the save. Sawyer Xavier, no doubt, will benefit from keeping one eye on the man at ringside during this singles contest.
THIRD MATCH - MAIN EVENT
(1/20)
Aka Yurei (w/ Reagan Cole) vs. Michelle von Horrowitz (w/ Gerald Grayson).
Singles Match.
(Match writer: SS)
The Grayson & von Horrowitz Connection re-secured their opportunity to challenge for the FWA World Tag Team Championships last week on Meltdown XIX, when they overcame Kayden Knox and Gabrielle of Executive Excellence. The belts in question are currently held by Aka Yurei and Reagan Cole, now known as the Spirit Walkers, who captured that prize by also defeating Bad Reputation and dethroning them as champions. Tense words were exchanged between the Spirit Walkers and particularly MvH of the Connection, who proceeded to challenge Yurei to this singles match on Meltdown XIX. Aka, not one to back down, promptly accepted, meaning we'll see a preview before these two teams tie up for the belts at Lights Out.

020: "KEEP AUSTIN WEIRD".

FIRST MATCH
(1/30)
Devin Golden vs. Cyrus Truth.
Singles Match.
(Match writer: Dubb)
Devin Golden and Cyrus Truth find themselves in the strange position of being opponents in Lights Out's Golden Opportunity briefcase match, but also bring two of the four men in that contest not currently aligned with Executive Excellence. Truth was scathing about his intentions with that particular stable, but will also have to keep an eye out for the man he engaged in that electric confrontation on 019, Chris Peacock, as well as the man he faces on 020, Devin Golden. Golden has made it clear for a while that his focus was winning the Golden Opportunity match, and the idea of reinserting himself into the title picture which currently includes old rivals Danny Toner and Alyster Black will be an attractive one. Standing in his way is an in-form Exile, though, with book men looking to pick up a big W ahead of that massive elimination chamber match.
SECOND MATCH
(1/20)
Reagan Cole (w/ Aka Yurei) vs. Kayden Knox (w/ Gabrielle).
Singles Match.
(Match writer: Man)
Whilst his fellow tag team champion Aka Yurei addresses new business on Meltdown against Michelle von Horrowitz, Reagan Cole will attempt to lay old business to rest when he faces Kayden Knox. Knox, of course, is a member of Bad Reputation and Executive Excellence, and - along with Gabrielle - a member of the tandem that Cole and Yurei defeated for their championships. Kayden Knox will no doubt be out for revenge, and indeed to place Bad Reputation's name back in the tag team title picture, whilst Reagan Cole will look to extend his impressive recent winning streak. That run currently stands at 5-0 and dates back to Back in Business, and Cole will no doubt be hoping to keep up this momentum going into his scheduled Lights Out defense.
THIRD MATCH
(1/30)
Thomas West [c] vs. Chris Peacock.
King of DeathMatch Crown of Thorns
Deathmatch.
(Match writer: Man)
Uncle J.J. JAY! pledged on Meltdown XIX that the Nephews would be all up in your shit again this fall, and Thomas West doubled down on that proclamation on Fallout 019 after beating Jason Randall in a Deathmatch to keep hold of his Crown of Thorns. He proceeded to issue a plethora of challenges, including to the Boogie Baby Chris Peacock, who made his surprise return in Ontario, California ahead of Lights Out's Golden Opportunity match. Peacock returned to action on 019 in San Diego with a win against The Boulder in a little over three minutes, but faces much more serious competition in the form of Thomas West. West will again put his Crown of Thorns on the line here, meaning these old rivals will fight to a conclusive finish in a match with no disqualifications or countouts.
FOURTH MATCH
(1/20)
Phillip A. Jackson vs. Tommy Bedlam.
Singles Match.
(Match writer: SS)
Tommy Bedlam made his surprising return to the FWA recently, and then picked up a win in his first match since doing so over Nate Savage on Fallout 019. Phillip A. Jackson was also amongst the winners on that show, defeating Yuna Funanori and then - after the evening's main event - confronting Shawn Summers and issuing a challenge for the FWA Television Championship at Lights Out. Der Basterd was elusive in reply, and Jackson will be looking to force the FWA higher ups into making their decision with an impressive performance here in Austin. Bedlam, on the other hand, will seek to keep his momentum going after his return… whilst also keeping an eye out for Jason Randall, a man who came to save him from the Undisputed Alliance on 019 before engaging him in a tense but silent stand-off.
FIFTH MATCH - MAIN EVENT
(1/60)
Mike Parr [c] vs. Lizzie Rose vs. Johnny Johnson (w/ Logan Darwin).
FWA North American Championship
Triple Threat Match.
(Match writer: Jimmy)
Lizzie Rose and Johnny Johnson were originally scheduled to fight for the vacant FWA North American Championship way back on Meltdown XVII - a match that was rescheduled for XVIII and then won by The Legend, with the help of his returning father Logan Darwin. Johnson, however, went on to lose that belt at The 17th Anniversary Show to Mike Parr, who was revealed to be Executive Excellence's mysterious FOURTH MAN. Meanwhile, Lizzie Rose was proving integral in winning Jailhouse Blues for Meltdown, prompting Jon Russnow - when JJ demanded his rematch after losing his title - to set up this blockbuster triple threat match. Johnson and Rose unsuccessfully teamed on Fallout 018 against the FWA World Tag Team Champions, the Spirit Walkers, and if that contest was anything to go by there is more than a little bad blood between those two going into this one.
