#Reborn Matt Sydal was originally scheduled to face off against ROH World Champion Jay Briscoe in a Proving Ground: Instant Reward this Saturday night in Chicago Ridge. As noted previously Sydal has suffered a minor neck injury forcing him to pass on the opportunity. While Sydal can not compete, he will be on hand to witness all the action and sign autographs.
ROH officials have decided to give 4 ROH stars the opportunity to not only face ROH World Champion Jay Briscoe, but also give them the chance at the ROH World Championship in an ROH Proving Ground: Instant Reward. It will not be an easy night for the champion or the challengers. It will, however, definitely be an exciting and potentially historic night!
A 4-way contest between “Mr ROH” Roderick Strong vs Mark Briscoe vs Matt Taven vs Silas Young.
“The Last Real Man” Silas Young is returning and he has the opportunity to go right to the top in his first weekend back. Mark Briscoe is in a state of flux right now which makes him very dangerous.”Mr ROH” Roderick Strong is piling up the wins and regaining the ROH World Championship appears to be his destiny. The Kingdom’s Matt Taven has elevated himself with major wins over the Briscoes recently and is really earning the “Must See” moniker. Whoever wins this match up will then face off with ROH World Champion Jay Briscoe in Proving Ground: Instant Reward.
The 4 superstars are three wins in one night away from making history. They will first need to survive the 4-way then beat the ROH World Champion 2 times to take their place in the record books.
