I have a love/hate relationship with Striker. I hated him on commentary because of the way he spoke. He was 'too smart' when it came to speaking and that made him boring. Jim Ross made up some ridiculous words, but, he was enthusiastic, he got you pumped up for matches. Striker got too much in to describing things no one really cared about. We want a commentator to call a match, not get in to deep discussions about a move for 5 minutes.
This shoot, though, was great to listen to. I think a lot of things he says are interesting, I just think he needs to keep the more detailed, deep thoughts out of his commentary and stick to calling matches in an exciting way. I think his style of commentary ended up hurting him a little and might be part of the reason they never renewed his contract.
