The fight card for UFC on Versus 4, scheduled for June 26 at Consol Energy Center in Pittsburgh, Pa., continues to stack up as hard-hitting heavyweights Matt Mitrione and Christian Morecraft have been added.
UFC President Dana White confirmed that verbal agreements are in for both fighters.
Mitrione’s (4-0) entire professional career has been fought inside the UFC Octagon. The undefeated TUF 10 veteran has knocked out three of his four opponents thus far.
His most recent fight was a first round TKO over Tim Hague at UFC Fight for the Troops 2 in January. He also holds knockout victories over fellow TUF 10 cast mates Kimbo Slice and Marcus Jones.
Morecraft (7-1) had a very impressive first round in his UFC debut against Stefan Struve at UFC 117 last August. However, Struve came back in round two and was able to stop Morecraft.
Morecraft bounced back in his next trip to the Octagon, putting Sean McCorkle to sleep with a guillotine choke in the second round at UFC Fight 24 last month.
Other bouts confirmed for UFC on Versus 4 include Michael Johnson vs. Edward Faaloloto, Joe Lauzon vs. Curt Warburton and Matt Brown vs. Rich Attonito.
