Recently-reinstated UFC heavyweight Matt Mitrione didn't take long to respond to UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones.

On Thursday, Jones was asked his thoughts on Mitrione and the statements he made regarding transgender fighter Fallon Fox. "Bones" believed Mitrione was out of line saying the things he said.

"People like Matt Mitrione are scumbags," Jones said (thanks to MMAjunkie.com for the quotes). "He's a scumbag. I don't care if he's off suspension or doesn't fight again. He's a ridiculous person."

Well, Mitrione, who was recently announced for a fight later this year vs. Brendan Schaub, responded on Twitter.

"Ur a spoiled brat that needs 2b taught a lesson," Mitrione posted. "I'm the guy 2do it. Come fight me at (heavyweight) within 1 year or ur a coward, kid."

Mitrione also took a shot at Jones' previous run-in with the law, posting, "Last time I spoke, gotNtrouble 4 talking bout sum1 using hands2hurt women, guess thats a lot better than Bentleys and Telephone poles."

It'll be interesting to see of Jones has anything to say in regards to Mitrione as he prepares for his Saturday fight vs. Chael Sonnen.

It's kind of funny to me how he's doing this, he's nowhere near the top 10 or even in Jones' league for that matter. This just makes me laugh.
