In a rather strange story from Eagle Creek, Oregon, 2000 Olympic silver-medalist, political aspirant and MMA veteran, Matt “The Lawâ€￾ Lindland is being sued by a man who claims he stole six mature marijuana plants from him.

Plaintiff Gonzalo Aldana Gamboa claims Lindland offered last year to let Gamboa grow the marijuana on his property, which is legal under the Oregon Medical Marijuana Program.

However, once the plants were harvested and dried, the lawsuit states that Lindland would not allow Gamboa to come collect the goods. The suit seeks $122,880 in restitution for the lost marijuana plants.

The lawsuit was filed March 3 in Multnomah County Circuit Court by Portland lawyer William Macke according to an article from Willamette Week.

The 40-year-old Lindland holds a professional mixed martial arts record of 22-8. For a time he was considered one of the top-10 middleweights in the world, but more recently, has dropped four of his last six bouts.

Lindland was last in action back in December when he suffered a first round knockout loss to Robbie Lawler at “Strikeforce: St. Louisâ€￾.
