Matt Hardy's first post-WWE apearance announced

Matt Hardy will make his first post-WWE appearance for Northeast Wrestling on 1/15/11 in Poughkeepsie, NY at the Mid-Hudson Civic Center.

That event, NEW's 15th Anniversary show, will be headline by Jerry Lawler vs. Tommy Dreamer in a Steel Cage match.

This is still over two months away so he may book something before then but for the time being this is the first match after WWE. My first thought is what shape will he be in. He was a bit out of shape at the end of his WWE run yet started getting in shape after he was released. Secondly, he isn't even maineventing this show which is a bit of a surprise.

The main event intrest me, I didn't know WWE allowed Lawler to wrestle for other companies, I can't see a cage match against Dreamer who is also past his best being much of a draw.
