Well, it should be expected as we have noticed he's been limping around a bit over the past few months and has had quite the rough career, but there have been rumours circling around that Matt Hardy may be having his last match soon and the one who is currently WOKEN, may be hanging up his boots and dilapidated boat soon.

Over the past few days, he posted this tweet.

Before he also made a thread of tweets showing his evolution over the years and another tweet of him with fans over the years, then several hours ago, he posted this.

So, I'm no doctor, but that sounds like a serious injury. Compounding that with the many he's had over the years, it may be the end for Matt Hardy. It stinks as the Hardy's were one of my favourite tag teams of all time, but in the end, what is best for the vessel of Matt Hardy is best for the vessel of Matt Hardy.

Do you think this is the end of the road for Matt Hardy? Do you have any favourite moments with him over the years?

Regardless, he deserves to kick back on Skarsgard the dilapidated boat on the Lake of Reincarnation, with Vanguard One giving him punch and string beans, with Senior Benjamin tending to the garden for the next massacre, and most of all, King Maxel and Lord Wolfgang get to spend time with dad and Reby can have her husband not in a wheelchair for the rest of his life.

hmm, disappointing. I was looking forward to seeing where the Matt Hardy/Bray Wyatt story went.

I assume they will have Bray turn on Matt, attacking him and taking him out of action. If it is permanent retirement then it could be a vicious attack. That should give Bray some much needed heat and momentum

Well, we know Bray will be picking up where he leaves off. Sucks if he is retiring. He is one of few with the level of passion for wrestling he has.

This doesn't surprise me in the slightest...
the guy has been struggling to move/walk
since the "Broken days" in TNA.

It is a shame...but he needs to put his health
& family first.

I will admit to being completely disappointed
with his entire feud/alliance with Bray...but
at least there were a couple of bright spots
in there.

I can't imagine Jeff lasting much longer at
this point either...those guys have been
through so much.

Perhaps Jeff vs. Randy in the Hell in a Cell
will be Jeff's last match? One final insane
spot before retiring.

When I started watching wrestling in the build up to Wrestlemania 25, Matt Hardy vs Jeff Hardy was the first feud I was really interested in, I only watched Smackdown at the time which kinda sucked considering 3 of the major rivalries were crossbrand (Shawn vs Taker, Orton vs HHH & The triple threat ) so the Smackdown only rivalry and how personal it got (THEY USED A DOGS DEATH TO BUILD IT) and it was a really underrated feud. So Matt Hardy kinda got me into wrestling by being a dog killing dick.

But on the other hand, he was Reagans rep and I was so happy with it until Matt became broken. And I'm still trying to find a replacement rep now. So screw you matt for being broken.

Well, at least he continues to be WOKEN and will now have time to become even more WOKEN she he could one day become the Ninth Deity in the universe. Also, I have to say I was never a fan of the Hardys at all, but I became a fan of Matt due to the whole Broken/Woken universe and gimmick. It is sad to see him retire, but it is understanding and I will miss him because him and Bray were my favorite parts of RAW.

Matt Hardy has had a great career and has had many great matches and moments.

My favourite version of Matt was him in 2006. He was so over.

I feel sorry for Matt as the whole WOKEN hasn't worked out in WWE. Matt and Bray have just been straight up boring since Wrestlemania

This is very unfortunate. I was hoping like Daniel Bryan in 2014 that the fans get him so over with the Woken Gimmick he get a World Title run. Truly he deserves one as much as he put his body on the line for the company.

Man, It felt like yesterday I was watching that Triangle Tag Team Smackdown TLC match, his early run with the V1 gimmick as Cruiserweight Champion with Shannon Moore, The classic Matt Hardy and Edge rivaly over Lita, and the Jeff and Matt rivalry, etc. So many classic memories and matches Matt Hardy has left behind and for that I thank him.
