BioWare will get a few additional months of development time on Mass Effect 3 as the company today announced it has pushed back the release of one of the year's most anticipated titles until early 2012. Along with some new art released on the Mass Effect Facebook page, an announcement read, "Mass Effect 3 will be released in the first three months of 2012. The development team is laser focused on making sure Mass Effect 3 is the biggest, boldest and best game in the series, ensuring that it exceeds everyone's expectations."

One of the games I was looking forward to later this year, so boo to this news.

Mass Effect 3 Collector's Edition Content Revealed Retailer ads reveal just what's inside the Mass Effect 3 Collector's Edition box set, and it's a hefty haul

Here's what you get for $79.99.

Several Mass Effect fans were quite happy to learn that promotional content and trailers for Mass Effect 3 will feature "FemShep" as well as the male Commander Shepard. Of that content, one particularly exciting piece comes by way of the Mass Effect 3 Collector's Edition, which will have both genders of the lead character on the box.
EB Games and Amazon now have information and details on the contents of the special edition, although the graphic disappointingly doesn't tease the FemShep artwork.
