Over the past few days Capcom has been hosting the Captivate press event in Hawaii. The people present were surely surfing in joy, as they got the first look on Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 and Bionic Commando Rearmed 2, confirming the rumors that Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 was being developed.

Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 will be playable at this year's E3. The confirmed characters so far are Wolverine, Spider-Man, The Hulk, Magneto and Storm, and many other characters are confirmed to come back. Capcom says they "will be blowing fans out of the water with the sheer number of characters this game includes (on the disc)". Yes, you heard it, the game will be released on disc, and it's going to be high-resolution mindless fighting.
Furthermore, the gameplay will be 2D, with 3D graphics just like Street Fighter 4, and the game will contain many unlockables. It's rumored to be released in late 2010 or early 2011 for the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3, with no plans for other consoles so far.

Unfortunately, there weren't any leaked details on Bionic Commando Rearmed 2, but more information about both games, videos and screenshots are rumored to be available next week.

I have Marvel vs. Capcom 2 but I still haven't really picked up on the fighting. Bionic Commando Rearmed looks like one of the best PSN/Live games, eventually I'll get it.

Holy shit!! Bionic Commando? I remember that game. I had it for the original Gameboy. I got all these updates on my guns and shit and then got to a level where I lost it all. I stopped playing after that. I didn't even know they made a new one. How was the new Bionic Commando? Any good?

It was pretty good, wasn't great but decent. Personally I don't think it was worth the $60 they tried to sell it for on release date but it's defiantly worth $20, especially if you liked the last one. The online was actually pretty fun but it died pretty fast.

As far as MvC3 Holy shit! IT...Will...Be...Mine!!

I really can't play those type of games anymore. Like Mortal Kombat, Marvel vs Capcom, that type of style. They don't appeal to me anymore.

Difference between Bionic Commando and Bionic Commando Rearmed. Rearmed is a download game that was well received. Bionic Commando got pretty bad reviews.

OH right right, my bad. I never did play the downloadable one, I was referring to the new disc based one.

This game kicked ass. If only I knew where it was, I'd play it right now.

This is a pretty cool site. I think its like $5 a month and you can play games from atari to NES to N64 on your computer.

In that case you would love Rearmed. It's a 2D platformer in HD. It has a 87 average for PS3 and 85 for the 360. Very good reception for an arcade game.

My guess for MvsC3 is that it will use the new updated engine that Super Street Fighter 4 is using. If thats the case I'm sure the game will be very well recieved.

We will have to wait and see if I get it.

I really want to know how the deal to make MvC3 happened. The individual characters are split all over & Activision has the rights to Marvel games, unless there was some kind of provision for Capcom to make fighting games. I hope this leads to getting a Capcom Marvel Anthology game, similar to the Street Fighter Alpha Anthology a few years back. The Punisher Arcade game, X-Men: Children of the Atom, Marvel Super Heroes, X-Men vs Street Fighter, Marvel Super Heroes vs Street Fighter, MvC 1 & MvC 2 on one disc would be great to own. It would be cool if in this imaginary disc they included the SNES X-Men: Mutant Apocalypse & Marvel Super Heroes: War of the Gems games as unlockables.

To me the best Bionic Commando game was the NES version. I think it was far superior to the arcade version because of the ability to pick your destinations, replay stages, call allies for info (which can be intercepted & enemies attack you in your location. I also think the NES version had better graphics than the arcade version. The GameBoy version was a port of the NES game. The stupid things they did though was take out Hitler & Neo Nazis in the American & European versions of the NES Bionic Commando. The main enemy was a revived Hitler, who was called "Master D" in the American port. They kept Hitler's likeness in the Western ports of the game, but the GameBoy version altered his appearance.

Just checked out the trailer on youtube, it doesn't look that bad. It's cool how you can grab and toss people now. Co-op is a plus too. I'll check out the trailer for the sequel when it comes out to see how that looks.

Hearing that there will be another Marvel vs. Capcom game is the best news I've heard in a long while. I always have been and always will be a fan of 2d fighters, fuck Tekken and other 3d fighters, they just aren't as fun to me as throwing hadukens and epilepsy inducing super combos. This will be a must own for me as much as Street Fighter 4 was!

Pretty much this. I mean I do love me some Soul Calibur and Tekken, but the old school 2D fighters have always been more fun imo. Even the 3D Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat games pale in comparison to the 2D couterparts, except Street Fighter IV, that was one of the best fighting games I've played in quite some time. Marvel vs Capcom 2 is my favorite fighting game of all time, hell it's on my favorite all time games list tbh.
