Pumped for this, love the concept and the fact that it's animated should ensure so much more freedom for them.

Marvel in animated form has not been very good tbh, let's hope this is the outlier.

I got a "What if?" What if Mickey Rourke from Iron Man 2 killed Happy because he was boxing people even though he's a total putz....and then he wouldn't be all over the Spider-Man movies just Favreau'ing it up and killing the movie's flow.

I was kinda bummed I didn't get Ben Riley's Scarlet Spider or Spidey 2099 in the Into the Spider-Verse but now with this I just might get it.

This should be completely different. It's the first animated show headed by actual "Marvel Studios" as far as I'm aware. Not sure who actually makes their other animated stuff

I liked the Episode for What If off the bat. It would make sense that people wouldn't consider Peggy Carter worthy because in truth that was the mindset of alot of people back then and she shoved it right back at them. It was cool to see Steve become a Hero without becoming Captain America that personality was bred into him and that is why we love him. Peggy had to wait a long time to get that dance if everything goes the same way with the Avengers Endgame.

Really good opening episode. Nothing earth shattering but it was just fun and that’s fine with me. Takes The First Avenger and compresses it into a half hour while obviously changing the story to make Peggy Cap. Animation was a little jarring but I got used to it really fast.

Next week is Chadwick’s episode so I gotta emotionally prepare myself for that.

I haven't seen the episode so I can't comment on it yet but the animation seems jarring to me as well but in a good way if that makes sense? Like it reminds me of YouTube history videos with the homemade animation or like those animated sequences in Cosmos if you've seen that. Perfect for some "What If" show in my mind bc it doesn't look as refined, idk lol

Just watched the second episode.
fuckin Chadwick man:mjcry

Obviously the episode doesn’t wrap up T’Challa’s story or anything like that as they didn’t know he was dying. The episode by itself was really good. Def better than the first. They use so many more characters in this one and there were some genuinely shocking moments but in a funny way. Fuckin Thanos turns good in this episode and jokes about how his plan was not a genocide. That was hilarious. The fact that T’Challa’s Star Lord was an intergalactic hero vs how Peter Quill’s was just a loser is an interesting dynamic. And yes, Chadwick’s performance was great. Little did we know though…

RIP King
