Could Martel's death affect McMahon storyline?

WrestlingObserver.com reports that Sherri Martel's death is casting some doubt over the future of the "Vince McMahon is dead" storyline.

While the school of thought in favor of continuing the angle is most likely to win out, there was a "significant push" yesterday to hurriedly conclude the storyline in order to preserve good taste.

The rating for Monday's RAW will ultimately be a factor in determining how far WWE will go with the storyline. If the rating does not reflect increased intrigue in the WWE product, "that's when you'll see a lot of refiguring," reports the Observer.

- Recently, WWE signed an endorsement deal with Gillette, and John Cena will be promoting Gillette Fusion.

- As of late, WWE is being very firm with officials and are going as far as fining them for inconsistent counts.

- The original idea of the “blowing upâ€￾ angle is dated back to February 2005 by Dave Lagana who is now the head ECW writer. At the time, Brian Gewirtz thought it was far too fetched but with USA Network pushing for higher ratings, the idea was revisited.

The Undertaker has been busy recovering from surgery to repair his torn biceps. In today's The Coloradoan said that The Undertaker and a partner have begun buying $2.7 million dollars in real estate to plan and build an upscale office building.

The article said that The Undertaker is preparing for a post-wrestling life with the venture. The Undertaker told the newspaper "(Real estate) is a new adventure for me". "I've done wrestling for 20 years; I know most of the answers."

The article also noted that The Undertaker isn’t expected to be back from his surgery for five months. So it look’s like we will see The Undertaker making a return around October.

Yesterday, Mick Foley attended the commencement ceremonies for the Hungerford School in Staten Island, New York. The school specializes in special needs children.

This Friday Ken Kennedy and WWE Intercontinental champion Santino Marella are scheduled to appear at Ohio Valley Wrestling event at Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom. Reports suggest that Kennedy won’t be wrestling. Finlay, The Hardys, CM Punk, Jerry Lawler and John Cena, are also scheduled to appear at OVW's Super Summer Sizzler over the course of the summer.

The latest on the Mr. McMahon “deathâ€￾ and the limo explosion storyline is that a "calculated blast" destroyed the limo last Monday.

On the fast nationals, last night’s SmackDown drew a 2.6 rating. They scored the exact same rating last week.

Due to the timing of the death of Sherri Martel officials within WWE were highly considering dropping the Vince McMahon death angle quickly as possible citing the taste and timing, and another school of thought (that most expect would win out) to keep going.

Speaking on the Vince McMahon death angle, WWE is auctioning off the side mirror from the limo they set on fire.

The entire office, production team and creative staff are really burned out from having to do nine-and-a-half hours of first-run TV last week. When it was over, the feeling was that it's something that shouldn't be done ever again. Vince McMahon, who prides himself in being something of an Ironman when it comes to endless work and never showing signs of being tied, was said to be showing his last week, particularly since he insisted on being all over television.

The 6/5 ECW with Vince sitting in a rocking chair was largely rewritten by Vince at the last minute and bared little resembled to the show ECW writers Dusty Rhodes and Dave Lagana put together. Their version of the show had no McMahon and no Lashley vs. 3 "ECW Originals" hardcore match.

To promote Brock Lesnar's MMA match on Showtime, they showed a video package of Brock Lesnar at home. Brock's wife, the former Rena "Sable" Mero was shown in the video package. Sable commented on her husband's decision to enter the MMA business. They also showed footage of the two walking across a field
