So Mark Hominick (20-10 MMA, 3-2 UFC) won't be on Canadian soil for his next fight.

With UFC 145 now set to take place April 21 at Atlanta's Philips Arena, the onetime featherweight challenger's bout with Eddie Yagin (15-5-1 MMA, 0-1 UFC) has been booked for the event, officials announced today.

Hominick and Yagin were originally slated to fight on March 24 at Bell Centre in Montreal, where Hominick had twice fought under the UFC banner to disappointing results.

It's not yet known whether Hominick vs. Yagin will be part of UFC 145's pay-per-view main-card or the preliminary lineup. The event's main card airs live on pay-per-view while FX and FUEL TV are expected to host preliminaries.

Eight bouts were expected for UFC 145 prior to the move, and it's expected that several of them will accompany the shift.

Most recently, Hominick was on the wrong end of a tie for the fastest official knockout in UFC history when Chang Sung Jung put him down in seven seconds this past December at UFC 140. (The UFC unofficially recognizes Duane "Bang" Ludwig with the fastest knockout at a little more than six seconds.)

And at the record-breaking UFC 129 event earlier in the year, Hominick fell short on points against champ Jose Aldo, though his gutsy performance did nothing to diminish the momentum he'd built prior to the title fight with five consecutive wins. Prior to hitting the skids, he stopped such standouts as Yves Jabouin, Leonard Garcia and George Roop.

Yagin also is looking for redemption. The Hawaii native was outpointed by Junior Assuncao in his octagon debut at UFC 135, which snapped a two-fight win streak that saw him earn the vacant Tachi Palace Fights featherweight title against Bellator vet Joe Soto.

Just moved UFC 145 from Canada too Atlanta, this is the only fight from the original Canada card that has been confirmed, But Jon Jones/Rashad or Henderson is likely to happen on this show along with the debut of Antonio Bigfoot Silva in the UFC, the fight between him and Cain Velasquez isn't going to happen but now Shane Carwin is being rumored to be his opponent.

I'm still pumped for it. My friend has already agreed that she is good to go for this show. So hopefully we'll see Jon Jones fight and Carwin vs. Bigfoot would be awesome.

I'd say the Jones fight is like 90% confirmed for this show, everything that needs to happen for the fight just kind of falls into place perfectly. And one the reasons they moved UFC 145 from Canada to Atlanta was because they couldn't get a title fight when it was originally scheduled to be in Montreal so it all makes sense really.

They wouldn't have that fight on free tv and UFC 143 & UFC 144 have stacked cards, with the lightweight and welterweight title's on the line.
