Mark Henry suffered what is believed to have been a hyperextended knee at this past Tuesday's Smackdown taping in Tucson, Arizona. The injury, which will air on Smackdown tonight, occurred when Henry was throwing a punch and his knee moved forward before he had completely planted his foot during a move. Henry, who has been working through a groin issue, has had knee problems in the past.

The finish of Smackdown had to be changed on the fly due to the injury. The original plan was for Daniel Bryan to attack Big Show with a chair after Show had Henry down. Show would make a comeback, chokeslam Bryan and leave him for dead. The show would then end with Henry splashing the World champion, leaving his ability to overcome both contenders at the Rumble in doubt.

Instead, what airs on Smackdown tonight, according to Nate Tyler, who saw the Australian broadcast is:

"They clearly call an audible as Henry collapses like he's been shot in the thigh and rolls outside and they go to commercial, however the finish (count-out) happens off-camera, with Bryan already attacking Show when they resume with Henry presumably already in the back getting treatment."

Since Henry is such a trooper, he's likely to work the Rumble with this latest injury as well.

That sucks for him to be injured again. But working through it, does show how much of a trooper he is

Spoilers? I almost read what really happened, I wouldn't have been too happy.

After this he should really take some time off and rest. I know he doesn't want to as he doesn't wanna lose his spot but guy sounds banged up.

This guy gets injured too often but at least he will have some time off. I like Henry and all so I hope he comes back and dominates again.

LOVING his work since turning heel almost a year ago, but Mark needs to slow down now. If he keeps it up he's going to run into that Michelle McCool problem of thinking he can ignore the pain until it becomes too much.

I've read a few times before that Mark intends to retire within the next couple of years. If that's true he needs the break so he can finish as strong as possible.

Thanks God he's in a match where he won't have to do much seeing it's a Cage match.

Bryan will retain one way or another. After Big Show said he's considering retirement I see him turning heel after Rumble which leads to that match with Shaq O'Neal.

Damn the guy can't catch a break at the moment. In the biggest run of his career and now he gets a second injury. If he works through this injury as well then it shows what a company guy he is. He would be nearing retirement within probably 12 months so hopefully he can get himself fit before one final run near the top.

His name is popping up with the word injury behind it nearly as much as edge it seems. Hope thats not a sign of things to come. Pretty cool that he has been able to work through it. If he can make the PPV that would be good and then rest for a month or so after. Not that Bryan and Show couldn't put on a good cage match, just think two giant powerhouse guys mixed in with Bryan would come off better.

I seen the show and the ending was kind of weird, I hope this isn't too serious and he is back soon but some time off will really help a guy like him.
