Four of the UFC's lighter weight warriors will be back in the Octagon for September 24th's UFC 135 card in Denver, as verbal agreements are in for a featherweight bout between Diego "The Gun" Nunes and Manny Gamburyan, and a bantamweight scrap pitting Cole Escovedo against Takeya Mizugaki.
All four of these men are looking to get back into the win column. Nunes dropped a hard fought decision to Kenny Florian last month at UFC 131, while Gamburyan lost an even closer decision to Tyson Griffin at UFC on Versus 4. Escovedo and Bowles also suffered decision losses in their last fights with Escovedo falling to Brazilian phenom, Renan Barao at UFC 130 (albeit on short notice), and Mizugaki getting outpointed by Brian Bowles at UFC 132.
With all four men obviously hungry to avoid another loss, the Denver fans should be treated to some good action from the "little guys". Here's how the UFC 135 card is currently shaping up:
