Mania Mixtape

[He who knows more than Nation]

Seems like a fun thread on premise, so basically make a mixtape of your favorite Mania matches, just a few rules, each title can only be defended once, a wrestler can only be used once. And don't just make it a "best of Mania" type mixtape, make it a sampling of everything that encompasses what Mania is, a spectacle.

WWE Title Match: Kurt Angle versus Brock Lesnar, Wrestlemania XIX. What a match, and outside of the Attitude era, part of the best era of wrestling that I've had the pleasure of following in my own life time.

World Heavyweight Championship Match: Triple H versus Shawn Michaels versus Chris Benoit, WM XX. The moment afterwards with Eddie was amazing and emotional for all long-time fans out there. The moment deserved to live on aqs one of the greatest Wrestlemania moments... but Benoit ensured that would not be the case.

Intercontinental Title Match: Randy Savage versus Ricky Steamboat, Wrestlemania III. The title never meant more.

Tag Team Title Match: The New Age Outlaws versus Cactus Jack and Chainsaw Charlie, WM XIV. Another fun match which I remember fondly.

Hardcore Title Match: Raven versus Kane versus Big Show, Wrestlemania XVII. Gotta have a bit of fun on the 'Mania card, and this sticks out as one of the most fun matches I've ever watched.

The ultimate spectacle Match: The Rock versus Hollywood Hulk Hogan, WM XVIII. My favourite Wrestlemania match for the crowd reaction and the excitement I felt at seeing one of the only true dream matches in wrestling.

The brawl: Stone Cold Steve Austin versus Bret Hart, WM XIII. THE breakout of Steve Austin as an absolute superstar, and also featuring one of my favourites of all time in the Hitman.

The Undertaker match: Undertaker versus Randy Orton, WM XXI. I'm guessing we're supposed to suspend disbelief and think that 'Taker's streak is under serious threat each year. I genuinely did during this one.

The celebrity appearance: Mr T versus Roddy Piper boxing match, Wrestlemania II.

This is so hard to do, because you're going to be leaving out a ton of big names that can't fit on to this card. I'd say no more than 10 matches are allowed. Anyways, here we go.

* Well fuck, I have the IC title defended twice on my tape, but Euro title was also defended in that match. :/

Well, like I said, just take out the Hogan/Andre match then. That was probably my last choice to be put on the card, but I didn't want to leave out Hogan and the match was iconic obviously,but whatever. Rest of the card is great anyways.

Not their match at WM 19, which is what he put. But he also put Flair on the card twice, so he still does have a mistake. Ha.

Yeah I did Austin/Rock from WM 19 so that I could put in one of my all-time favorites, Flair/Savage. But I forgot I had Flair/Taker. One sec.

Edit: Okay. Had to drop Owen and Warrior from my card. Went with stuff like Hogan/Savage, Roberts/Martel, and Hart/Piper which some people might not consider the best of their kind, but they're personal favorites.
