I actually have not seen the whole show yet, but i have seen a few matches.
Ill start with my comments about the four man with Claudio, Nigel, Hero, and Marifuji. Just a all around good solid match showcasing four of ROH's top performers, in a opening bout. (which you dont find elsewhere!) I liked the Hero/Claudio fueding during match and i even thought Claudio should have won the match, by watching it. 3.5 stars.
Next up i saw the best of 3 series, and i really liked the concept behind this. Something i don't think has ever been done, at least not recently. It sort of reminded me a bit of the strategy in war games. Anyways it started with a short and sweet match where Rocky Romero quickly took out the Gymnastic Matt Cross. Probably the best 3-5 minute match i've ever seen. Then with the resilence down a man, they put in their leader Austin Aries against davey richards. Another solid 12 minute match with great pyschology. Which lead to the final match between Stevens and Strong. Great match although they didnt sell some moves, which i didnt like. But overall i thought this segment as great a awhole. I'd go as far as to rate this a 4.5 (including all 3 matches) Very well done.
I missed Danielson vs morishima...i guess ill have to wait the dvd.
And for one of the most talked about matches all year, the ladder war. And as i told SP in the shoutbox. Its called a ladder WAR and not a ladder match for a reason. This match was insane. You want to talk about spotfest, well this was probably the greatest spotfest ever. When watching this match you almost think wrestling is real. I never get that feeling with other organizations, but somehow they made this match feel like real. You could feel their anger and i swear the belt looked to be about 20 some feet above the ring. Great match, but it was a spotfest. I'd rate it 4.75 since it was too spotty.
Well....theres my thoughts...what do you guys think?
