SALEM, OR (KPTV/CNN) - An Oregon college student's trip to see a scary movie turned into a horror of its own when he was stabbed as he left the theater Thursday night.
George Almos and a group of friends went to the opening night of "Paranormal Activity 3" at a local theater. As he was leaving the theater, he said a group of men followed him across the street and started a fight.
By the time things settled down, he had been stabbed in the chest. His friends rushed him to Salem Hospital.
"I couldn't breathe," Almos said. "Blood started to just pour out of my chest, and that's when I realized I was dying."
The knife punctured Almos's lung, only an inch away from his heart. After a nearly two hour long surgery, Almos is in recovery.
Police are still investigating and looking for possible leads in the case.
