A man handed a lottery ticket to his mother-in-law after scratching off the top prize in the N.C. Education Lottery’s $200,000 Cash game.Paula Milwood, a store clerk from Gastonia, said she was shocked when he gave her the winning ticket.“He just handed it to me and said I deserved it,†Milwood told Channel 9’s newspaper partner, the Gaston Gazette. “He told me that I would know what to do with it. I didn’t know what to say.â€The ticket was purchased at Kingsway on Kendr*ck Road in Gastonia, where Milwood works. She said she plans to use her winnings, worth $136,001, to purchase a home for her family and possibly season passes to Carowinds. “I feel like a big weight has been lifted,†Milwood said. “This is fantastic.â€
