KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Jackson County prosecutors have charged a 20-year-old Kansas City man with three counts of second-degree murder in connection with a triple homicide last September.
Michael C. Bruce is accused of killing Phillip Hall, Stacy Roberson and Raymond Hill on Sept. 18.
Police found their bodies in an apartment in the 900 block of East Linwood Boulevard.
According to court documents, Bruce told police he was with two men who later shot the victims, but he said he was outside of the room when the shots were fired. Police said evidence on a hooded sweatshirt and shoe prints led investigators to believe otherwise.
Bruce has been arrested and prosecutors ask that he be held in lieu of a $250,000 cash bond.
