CRYSTAL RIVER -- A Citrus County man is facing felony charges after allegedly attacking a woman with a chainsaw.
According to the Citrus County Sheriff's Office, Jeffrey Clayton Bonney of Crystal River is facing felony charges of aggravated battery causing bodily harm stemming from the attack.
Officials said Bonney attacked the woman with a chainsaw on Saturday, causing a deep cut on her left forearm. Officials said the woman needed 40 staples on her arm to close the wound.
Witnesses called 911 after hearing screams coming from the victim's Crystal River home.
When deputies arrived, they found the woman bleeding heavily from the cut on her arm. They said she also had a black eye and a swollen nose.
