EL PASO, Texas -- When a woman questioned her husband about a Facebook account she suspected he secretly used to communicate with other women, he punched her in the face, bit her on the head and choked her, police said.
Police responded to a domestic dispute after a neighbor reported hearing screams from an apartment about 10 p.m. Tuesday in the 11600 block of Dyer Street in Northeast El Paso. The neighbor told police that 37-year-old Yordanos Tesfain was seen crying and pleading for help as she waited for police to arrive.
Investigators were told that an argument broke out after Tasfain questioned her husband, 32-year-old Kibrom Gebregziabher, about a secret Facebook account. Police said Gebregziabher became upset and attacked her, punching her in the face, biting her head and choking her. Gebregziabher also took a cellphone away from Tesfai as she was dialing 911 for help.
