Tommy End fka Aleister Black when he was in WWE, made a surprise appearance in what can only be described as one of the biggest reveals this year. He appears to be going by his new character posted on Instagram in a homemade vignette earlier in the day. Malakai Black. It also appears he could possible be possessed.

Below is the instagram video, where certain dates and the name of MATTHEW refer to the exact date former WWE superstar Buddy Murphy inured his eye in a match.

Some quality world building here. I jumped up and down like a little girl, haven't marked the fuck out like that in good long while.

Further reports are that WWE fucked up his contract when he moved up from NXT to the main roster and never upgraded his 30 day to 90. If true, what a lay up for BIG TONE

Per PWInsider:
For those who were wondering (and I was among you, I assure you) how the former Aleister Black could debut tonight for AEW just a little over a month after he received his WWE release, we have the answer.
PWInsider.com is told that back when Tommy End was moved to the main WWE roster several years ago, the company failed to update his contract from the standard 30 day non-compete that NXT level talents receive to the 90 day non-compete that main roster performers are given. So, what can only be described as a bad clerical error allowed End to be free and clear in time for the first episode of AEW Dynamite on the road and surprise everyone.
The natural question is going to be whether other talents also had the same error, allowing them to appear ahead of the traditional 90 day non-compete elsewhere. Obviously, there's no way to know unless they opt to make that publicly known.

I don't even want to be a dick about it, but WWE literally let him world build all this cool shit just to use it somewhere else. Legit the easiest lay-up ever for :moneymark

facts! Mic went fucking flying and he dropped so quick. Man still got it and made Malakai look like a fucking monster. Also that smirk Black gives is one of my favorite facial expressions in wrestling, he looks fucking demented.

My biggest concern with all these high profile names going to AEW is that they’re eventually gonna get lost in the shuffle.

Christian debuted in a segment with the World Champion and immediately went to working with Matt Hardy...

El Idolo feels like he’s lost already.

They really didn’t do much with Brodie(RIP) after he killed Cody.

FTR was brought in pretty much just to lose to the Bucks.

Hopefully Black is different. I want to see him do well.

I get your point, albeit I think Christian is fine as he's likely on a light schedule and he's likely getting a tittle shot once he's done with Matt (which is a feud i personally dont mind, because he goes up against kenny, hes losing, period)

FTR I agree with

Idolo has had one match and with fans back, im not too worried. I can see him leading the mexican bros to a trios championship for example? and hes likely challenging kenny soon too.

Brody I think was a special circumstances due to his health so I gave them a pass there.

But still, some newer guys do seem to get lost sometimes, it's true. We just have to be patient and we get cool shit like new and improved Miro.

But I am worried about FTR, that's absolutely a fair point and having the bucks heel champs really makes it hard for them to challenge once they are done with the IC feud

In either case, let's hope that with it being live with crowds, it'll be all hands on deck.

Miro is a guy I completely forgot about. They made him look like a geek his first year there. What they’re giving us now is what he should’ve been from day 1. Not some video game playing geek

Yeah Miro had a rough start, I do think that was a case of Miro himself maybe trying somethign a little bit too different and they gave him full reigns before, well reigning him in and modifying things. at the very least, though, the transition made a lot of sense wit hthe arcade match so while it wasnt the best at first, it developed into something beautiful .

That's the double edged sword that is AEW and giving talents more of a voice. It's not always a homerun right off the bat. On the flip side, however, I think we can agree that while not every thing starts off great, they do have a good reputation of tweeking things for the better as time goes on, so were never really stuck with bad stuff for very long at all
