- Vince McMahon has been talking about doing another “Stand Up for WWE” campaign. He’s told people that WWE will be getting a lot more aggressive about the persecution from the “liberal media.” One person close to the situation said that if Linda McMahon doesn’t do good in the current Senate bid, then they are looking to get more outspoken.

Embarassing. Why should we stand up for your company, Vince, when you are so ashamed of it yourself?

Stand up for WWE? They can't just stand up for themselves?

Actually if I remember rightly didn't this campaign last year win them some big social award? I'm not American so I'm not quite sure (since it was American based), but I'm sure they won like some social campaign award which equals exposure I guess.

It won some big social award nobody's ever heard of. Didn't get much exposure at all, just gave WWE another way to kiss their own asses. Stand Up for WWE were just barely-veiled political ads asking the fans to defend the current product to help Linda get her Senate seat... one of the main reasons 2010 was one of the most boring, watered-down years in wrestling history (aside from the original Nexus attack). WWE lost 50 million dollars that year after spending that much in political contributions.

Then you throw in the fact that Vince feels that he has to defend the company that made him the money to afford to try to buy Linda a Senate seat. We all know Vince is ashamed of his creation, but it's just so ridiculous.

2009 was even worse than 2010 if I remember.

Anyway, an award is an award really. If they're appearing on a popular award show, which normally garners millions of viewers because of celebs), it's exposure. I can't really see Vince doing this for no reason, unless at his old age he really cares that people are slagging off WWE and wants them to stop, but I highly doubt that lol.

The Mashable Awards are just given out by mashable.com (http://mashable.com/2011/01/07/mashable-awards-2010-announcing-the-winners/, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mashable). It's not an actual awards show or anything like that.

2009 was awesome for SD, with the CM Punk heel push, Edge and Jericho/Jerishow, Jeff Hardy face run, Batista heel turn... but Raw was god-awful. Gtfo guest hosts.

SUFWWE = Media exposure = more people remembering the bad years of WWE = more failing of Linda = more freeness on WWE TV!

Win in my books.
