In a bit of a strange twist, Sherdog is reporting that Maiquel "Falcao" Goncalves, better known as Maiquel Falcao, has found a new employer. And it's an organization that is looking to buck the unified rules and use the old Pride-style rules. In mid-April, Mike Fagan let us all know that Colloseo Championship Fighting, who operates in the Canadian province of Alberta, was looking to run a July 23rd card using a different sanctioning body than the standard Association of Boxing Commissions so they could institute a different set of rules. Well, that card is closer to going forward now with a main event of Gilbert Yvel vs. Tony Lopez. And for their next card in September, they now have Falcao:

Pasqualino Santoro, head of Canadian promotion Colloseo Championship Fighting, on Saturday confirmed to Sherdog.com that Goncalves has signed a three-fight deal with the Alberta-based organization and is expected to compete at an as-yet-unannounced September event.

It is unknown at this time whether the July or September card will actually be allowed to go forward using Pride rules for sure. But if they are, Falcao would be an interesting addition to any card that allows soccer kicks and knees to the head of a downed opponent. Falcao won in his UFC debut last November, taking a decision over Gerald Harris. Legal troubles had prevented him form fighting since then, and eventually led to his release from the company. This will be his first fight since that release.
