Luke Rockhold made the first successful defense of his Strikeforce middleweight title, and now he’s ready for the next challenge.

He balked at the mention of current top contender Tim Kennedy as a next opponent in his post fight speech, but said at the press conference afterwards that if that’s what Strikeforce wants he’ll take it.

Rockhold doesn’t hesitate however to welcome in challengers from the UFC to face him in Strikeforce.

“I always look for bigger and better things and if the UFC wants to bring in some top contenders, I’m more than welcome to welcome them in our hexagon,” said Rockhold.
Honestly, they need to do something.

Send Koschek, Penn, Jon Fitch and a few others over to Strike force, not necessarily saying they're the best in the UFC in their respective divisions but still do SOMETHING with Strike force there's so many fights I'd love to see.

I just don't see why the bigger company should have to send people to the smaller place. It would be like WWE sending their upper talent while under contract to TNA to answer the "challenge" when instead if Rockhold really wants a challenge he should follow what the Diaz bros did, Shields, Hendo, and the heavyweights. Leave Strikeforce and head tot he UFC.

Not impressed with him at all, and if UFC sent even fringe contenders like Belcher, Rivera, etc he'd get his ass kicked.

I just wanna see him come over to get shown up and demolished. Nobody is going to waste their time going there. So he needs to put up or shut up.

Don't see the point in UFC sending top fighters to Strikeforce even if they are owned by the same parent company. I don't mind UFC discards heading to Strikeforce to try to win their way back into UFC but UFC shouldn't bother trying to make Strikeforce an equal to them.
