Louis Gaudinot tests positive for diuretic, suspended six months by UFC officials

Louis Gaudinot‘s March win over Phil Harris (22-11 MMA, 1-2 UFC) has been overturned to a no contest after “Goodnightâ€￾ tested positive for a banned diuretic.

MMAjunkie today learned the results of the test from a UFC official after Harris revealed the development via social media. As is often the case when the UFC hosts events in international locations without an athletic commission in place to oversee the event, the promotion self-regulated the fight card.

My last fight vs louis gaudinot is now a no contest due to him failing a drugs test.

Gaudinot has also been suspended six months from the March 8 date of the the UFC Fight Night 37 event and must submit a clean drug test before returning to action. He was not fined for the failed test.

Gaudinot (6-3 MMA, 1-2 UFC) and Harris met in the very first fight of UFC Fight Night 37, which took place at London’s O2 Arena. Gaudinot needed just 73 seconds to earn a submission win in the matchup, but the victory will now be erased from his record.

“Billyâ€￾ Harris was initially released from the UFC following the loss to Gaudinot but was surprisingly brought back to the promotion and now faces Neil Seery at UFC Fight Night 46 on July 19 in Dublin.
