I was just thinking about all TUF winners and what they've done in the UFC, let's take a look here...

Forrest Griffin (7-4 in the UFC / Light Heavyweight Champion / 2 Fight LOSING STREAK / TUF Coach)

Diego Sanchez (10-2 in the UFC / shot at BJ Penn's LW Title at UFC 105 rumored / 4 Fight WINNING STREAK)

Rashad Evans (8-1-1 in the UFC / Light Heavyweight Champion / LOST his last UFC match / TUF Coach)

Joe Stevenson (7-4 in the UFC / lost his only title match)

Kendall Grove (5-3 in the UFC / LOST his last UFC match)

Michael Bisping (7-2 in the UFC / LOST his last UFC match / TUF Coach)

Matt Serra (2-2 in the UFC (since winning TUF) / Welterweight Champion / 2 fight LOSING STREAK / TUF Coach)

Travis Lutter (1-2 in the UFC (since winning TUF) / couldn't make weight so screwed his title opportunity / 2 fight LOSING STREAK / RELEASED FROM UFC

Nate Diaz (5-2 in the UFC / 2 fight LOSING STREAK)

Mac Danzig (2-3 in the UFC / 3 fight LOSING STREAK)

Amir Sadollah (1-1 in the UFC / LOST his last UFC match)

I will not judge Efrain Escudero, Ryan Bader, Ross Pearson, and James Wilks because they haven't really had any fights since winning TUF. Bader did get his first win since winning TUF though.

As you can see these guys who won TUF aren't all that they are cracked up to be. Sure you have Rashad, Forrest, Sanchez, and maybe Bisping, but everyone else is either average or worse.

Here are some guys who lost TUF but are still in the UFC...

Josh Koscheck (10-4 in the UFC)
Kenny Florian (9-3 in the UFC / 2x UFC LW Title Shots)
Chris Leben (8-4 in the UFC / tested positive for steroids after UFC 89 bout)
Keith Jardine (6-4 in the UFC / HEADLINED UFC 96 FOTN w/ Rampage)
Marcus Davis (8-2 in the UFC)
Patrick Cote (5-2 in the UFC / Lost his MW title shot due to injury)
Chris Lyttle (5-5 in the UFC) ...he's still hanging in there lol
Gray Maynard (5-0-1 in the UFC) (COME ON!!!!)
Joe Lauzon (4-1 in the UFC)
Ben Saunders (3-1 in the UFC)
George Sotiropoulos (3-0 in the UFC)
CB Dolloway (2-2 in the UFC)
Elliot Marshall (2-0 in the UFC)
Krzysztof Soszynski (3-0 in the UFC)

Losers of TUF really do level the playing field or sometimes outweight the playing field when compared to the winners. Alot of ppl already probably agreed with me, but still, just thought it would be nice to see some statistics.

WAYYYYYY WRONG! Matt Serra fucking upset GSP! That's a huge accomplishment. I dare say its the simple fact the first fighters got WAY more exposure for the simple fact there were no big names at the time. Now that there's big names everywhere it's kinda hard for these newere fighters to find a place.

That's almost like any competition like that. Runner-ups/not-the-winners usually seem to have better careers than the actual winners. Look at Tough Enough, Matt Morgan, Morrison, Melina, Shad, Maryse, that's all I can think of off the top of my head, but they all are still in the game while the actual winners aren't.

American Idol: Well yeah this too.

Hell even those reality dating shows are like that. Look at Flavor of love. New York was runner up 1st season, runner up second season, had her own dating show twice, had a show where it follows her as she works, and some other one that I don't remember. She's more successful tv wise than the actual girls that one all 3 seasons.

Btw you left out a semi good name, Rob Emerson. He started off his career horrible but he was on a 6 fight wining streak before his last fight and to be fair most of his loses are split decision he's only been TKO'd once. He's always been one of those under dogs I like to root for, plus he's fighting at 103 and a win could set him up for another good streak.

I must have missed him then, I remembered all these names, had to look up their records and such, Emerson completely slipped my mind, but I am down with Emerson, he is great.
