Due to thinking about WWEs recent tendency to, IMO, waste their current roster's big matches (e.g. HHH v Edge, Cena v Batistsa, Batista Orton), I ended up pondering where their next 'generations' big-matchups are gonna come from.

Of the current top crop Cena, Edge & Orton have a fair few years left in them whilst if I'm reading WWE's intentions correctly then we'll be seeing a whole lot more of CMPunk, Dibiase & Rhodes (obviously there is solid fued potential between the two) and maybe even wee Mr Bourne (Once, Rey retires, there'll be a mask on Sydal quicker than you can say "Merch"! LOL), but there's 2 other guys that interest me.... Our current Raw tag team champs (Seriously, does ANYONE remember what show has what tag titles?).

Morrison's got it to spare in terms of in-ring ability, his mic work is shaping up steadily and, like a fair few other peeps I think he's got a good ME future in a HBK, show-stopper kinda mold (even if he doesn't reach such legendary status).

Meanwhile, I challenge anyone to say that Miz isn't the most improved wrestler in recent WWE history... He's gradually developing a cool in ring style of his own and I think will continue to blossom into a damn good talker. Whether or not he'll ever win 'the big one' I'm not too sure, but I defo see him as a good prospect for a succesful ECW title reign.

So....

Just a thought, but rather than just give them the typical tag/split/fued storyline, if these guys continue to rise the way they are it would be cool to have them split amicably (draft would be a simple option) and foster some kinda cross-brand alliance (still teaming occasionally but pursuing singles titles.... Could be a big title fued in the pair of them x-years down the line.)

Thoughts...?

Do you have any ideas how to foster some big matches for the future?

(I don't mean simply list me all your dream matches... It's not my intention to merely compile a thread listing every match-up that Rock and Austin never had)?

Jack Swagger has a bright future. Already inducing plenty of heat and must be next in line for the ECW strap. Has cleaned up the once-undefeated Ricky Ortiz twice now.

There's great potential in quite a heavily built and toned wrestler with enormous athleticism like D J Gabriel. But the gimmick won't sell to the WWE Universe, surely? I couldn't boo or cheer that. His facial appearance and posture has the makings of a heel. Give it a go!

You usually cant MAKE stars, stars just become that way. The biggest stars in the history of the business, with the exception of the Warrior and maybe The Undertaker (depending on how you look at it) came about organically. So its really hard to point to someone and say "Hes the next Ric Flair" because while he may have good mat skills or can talk, but if they dont connect to the fans, and the fans dont get behind them, all the pushing in the world wont mean shit.

Next money feuds, let The Legacy go a little further and Randy Orton vs Ted DiBiase or Ted DiBiase vs Cody Rhodes will all be huge.

WE also have some matches that even though have been done before, they can still be exploited, like Cena vs The Undertaker or HBK vs The Undertaker.

And also depending on how you book Rey Mysterio, he has not faced a lot of other main eventers, and I see some of those matches rather interesting.

Cena vs HHH can be done still one more time, as they are tied.

to get any new stars and any matches that you could really really get pumped up while watching they would have to stop writing scripts for them and trying to coriograph their matches nobody feeds off of the crowd anymore thats whats wrong they treat it like a television show not a sport/artform

To be fair, its the wrestlers who choreograph everything. They talk to the agents about the main spots and the finish, but other than that the fact that the matches are no longer called in the ring is totally on the guys' fault because they are too dumb and or lazy to respect the history of the business.

Steve Austin went from being a relatively un noticed cut made by WCW in the mid nineties to the biggest star in history, The Rock went from being an unlike babyface to a despised heel and then arguably the biggest star in the WWF. Hulk Hogan went from being irrelevant to the top of the mountain again in 1996 with a heel turn, not many can say that surely. Sting became one of the biggest stars on the planet without wrestling a match or cutting a promo in 1997. You never know who will make it big.
