Long-time WWE Employee and Warrior Award recipient has retired

Rich Hering, who was employed by WWE for more than 50 years, has retired from the company.

Hering worked for WWE as the company's senior vice president of government relations and risk management. In 2021, WWE honored Hering by presenting him with the Warrior Award at that year's Hall of Fame ceremony.

PWInsider reports that Hering retired last month shortly after Endeavor's acquisition of WWE was finalized. The report states that WWE would have wanted Hering to remain with the company, but Hering "decided it was his time to quietly step down and exit."

Endeavor's acquisition of WWE became official on September 12. With the deal, WWE and the UFC have been merged into one publicly traded company named TKO Group Holdings.

Hering began his career with WWE while the promotion was still owned by Vince McMahon Sr. In his role, Hering oversaw WWE's medical and security departments, handled all risk management issues, and worked with state athletic commissions and other organizations on WWE events.

From what I saw on Fightful this was planned for a couple years. Considering he's been there 50 years he's earned his retirement and best wishes to him in retirement.

I feel like we don't hear of long-time employees getting to retire on their terms with one company in this industry.
