So, I was really excited for this. Here in Costa Rica we get NO LIVE EVENTS and now in succesion AAA and WWE are going to come (WWE in January). Anyways, I wasn't an AAA follower but I was excited about seeing some of the big names.
In the end, no real main eventers came (nor were advertised tbh), but I was still excited to see guys like Marco Corleone (WWE's Mark Jindrak), Rocky Romero, Nicho el Millonario (Psicosis), Kenzo Suzuki and a couple of mexican legends, Octago and La Parka.
The organization of the event was a mess. I arrived to the place at 11:00 am, picked up the elevator and reached the place where the ring was set up and the wrestlers were already training...a place that was supposed to be filled with security. Then, I once again entered the area to buy some merch. If I wanted, I could have easily stayed in the area, as there was no security paying attention to me.
When security finally got a grip of everything, nobody really knew what was going on...not even them. They didn't know at what time they were supposed to let us in.
Anyways, the place was not exactly empty, but there were a lot of empty chairs (then again, they were charging $110, $60 and $30). As for the in ring product, it was kinda dissapointing. It was pure entertainment and toying to the crowd, with babyfaces getting us to cheer for them every 5 seconds, and with us coming up with clever insults for the heels. But as for the actual matches, except a match between Joe Lider, Nicho el Millonario and Rocky Romero vs Laredo Kid, Crazy Boy and Xtreme Tiger, that got a little extreme, I am damned if I saw anything else aside from Hurricanranas, chest chops and punches.
In the end, it was a fun event, but not as in a wrestling live event, but more of a circus like activity, with both the fans and the wrestlers laughing at the chants we would came up with.
