Poland national team coach Franciszek Smuda claims his star striker, Robert Lewandowski, is on his way to Manchester United this summer.
The 23-year-old was one of Borussia Dortmund's leading lights in 2011-12, as he helped the German giants to a domestic double - the Bundesliga title and the German Cup final, following an emphatic 5-2 victory over Bayern Munich.
Lewandowski is tipped to star at Euro 2012 with host nation Poland, and all eyes will now be on a forward who netted an impressive 22 goals for Dortmund last season.
Red Devils boss Sir Alex Ferguson was rumoured to be in the market for a new striker, after Michael Owen was released at the end of his contract, and Dimitar Berbatov poised for a move away from Old Trafford.
Having already agreed a deal to sign creative midfielder Shinji Kagawa in the past few days, United now look to have moved for another of Dortmund's star turns Lewandowski, if Smuda's recent comments about a number of his most influential Polish players, are to be believed.
"Lewy is going to Manchester United, Kuba [Jakub Blaszczykowski] also somewhere in England, [Lukasz] Piszczek to Real," said Smuda, as quoted on SkySports.com.
"They have a goal and they want to grow. I base the squad on them."
Called that shit.
