It's bigger in the country towns imo. It's just a public holiday which is what matters most to people. I wouldn't say it's overly big, I don't do anything for it. Just read my above post.

Oh wait. So Australia has a Prime Minister right? I don't feel like being bothered to go to wiki, so do you guys have a similar democracy to us? Voting wise, and I'm going to ask Authority wise? Hence, USA having the three branches, and voting every four years.

Main difference is we have to vote. Once we turn 18, you go on the registration roll or whatever, and if you don't vote you get fined a whopping 50 bucks.
